Trust Registration Service. (TRS)
Although many will based trusts are exempt registration, certainly for the first two years after passing, there are certain trusts which may be taxable relevant trusts and should be registered.

This is in the consultation stage. Although at first glance it may simplify matters it also introduces online procedures which may be difficult follow.

The Office of Public Guardian and Ministry of Justice want to simplify and speed up the process by eliminating paper applications and the need for an independent party to witness signatures.

Copy probate and will.

Once an estate passes through probate or administration the will becomes public and is kept at the public records Office.

A copy of the will and grant of probate may be obtained for a small charge.
