🚶☀️ A change of scenery for Net Club yesterday. What a lovely way to start the day!

Instead of our usual meeting format, we took the opportunity to get out and enjoy a walk around Tewkesbury. There were only a few of us this week, but that made it all the easier to have some great conversations along the way.

Sticking to the footpaths, we enjoyed a relaxed stroll through town, catching up on business, life, and everything in between. Sometimes the best networking happens when you're simply walking and talking.

We then rounded off the morning with a leisurely breakfast in the garden at The Exchange, making the most of the sunshine and the chance to continue our conversations over coffee and breakfast.

A simple but thoroughly enjoyable morning, and a reminder that networking doesn't always have to happen around a table.

🎶 From vinyl treasures to business growth, there was plenty to talk about at this morning's Net Club meeting.

Our Showcase came from Mel at To Have and To Hold Records, who gave us an inspiring insight into the events he hosts at Watson Hall and the vinyl records he sells in his shop.

We enjoyed hearing about the fascinating world of record collecting, including how to spot rare finds and valuable first pressings. If you've ever wondered whether that old record tucked away in your loft might be worth something, Mel is definitely the man to ask!

Our Ed Slot (education slot) was led by Neil Williams, who shared a practical guide to taking on an employee. From understanding your responsibilities as an employer to making sure you've got the right processes in place, it was packed with useful advice for businesses looking to grow.

As always, the discussion continued long after the presentations had finished, with members sharing experiences, ideas, and support around the breakfast table.

🚶 Next meeting we'll be swapping The Exchange for a walk around the local Tewkesbury area. It will be a great opportunity to enjoy some fresh air, catch up with fellow members, and continue the conversations while exploring our fantastic town.

What a weekend for Net Club at the Tewkesbury Big Weekend Charity Boat Race! 🏆🚣‍♀️

Once again Team Net Club took to the water and we’re proud to say we came away with:

🏆 Highest Amount Fundraised Trophy

Not bad for a group more used to breakfast networking than competitive rowing! 😄

☕ Another positive and engaging Net Club breakfast this morning at The Exchange.

It was great to hear from Tash from BTB Dog Supplies, who shared more about her growing pet supplies business and the passion behind helping owners find the right products for their pets. It’s always inspiring to hear the stories behind local businesses and the journeys that have shaped them 🐾

Our Ed Slot (education slot) came from Thomas Holmes, who introduced us to an app called Mob and talked us through how it can support fitness, accountability, and building healthier habits. A really interesting session that gave us all something to think about, especially when balancing busy work and personal lives. 💪📱

As always, the morning was a great mix of conversation, learning, support, and plenty of laughs along the way. That’s what makes Net Club such a valuable group to be part of.

☕ A really lovely Net Club breakfast this morning, and great to be back together after the Easter break.

After a couple of weeks away, it was fantastic to catch up, reconnect, and hear what everyone has been up to. There’s always a great energy in the room after a break, and today was no exception.

We heard from Chrys Wall, one of our founding members, who shared an update on her incredible 1,000 miles per year walking challenge, a huge commitment and an inspiring one at that! She then got us all involved with a fun and thought-provoking quiz, helping to debunk some of the common myths around family law. A brilliant way to get everyone thinking and engaged.

After breakfast, Jessica Brewster (formerly of The Roses) gave us an update on her new role at The Cheltenham Trust. It was so good to have Jess back in the room! She talked us through what she’s been working on so far, and although it sounds like she’s got a busy role ahead, we’ve got every confidence she’ll make a real impact. We’re looking forward to hearing more about her journey as she settles in. 👏

Another great morning of connection, conversation, and supporting one another! Exactly what Net Club is all about 😊
