More pesky scotch lock removal!

2007 Renault Trafic came to us with no brake lights & only one indicator on trailer, our customer had already fitted a new socket but the problems still remained.
What we found:-
😩Poor earth connection
😩Scotch locks used for all connections
😩Brake light not connected properly due to use of scotch locks
😩 indicator not connected to the correct wire
😩 Fog light not connected at all
😩 Fog light on van not working

What we did :-
😁 Made a new earth connection
😁 Removed all scotch locks & soldered all connections
😁 Cleaned the bulb holder for the fog light on the van which was corroded.
😁 Connected the fog light for towing electrics
😁 Checked all light functions

2003 Land Rover Discovery with us for 13pin electrics.
The vehicle had previously been fitted with single 7pin electrics but the installation was poor using scotch locks & a buzzer mounted externally which had been causing issues with our customers trailer.
With our customer now looking to get a caravan he asked us if we could fix the problems and change the electrics to 13pin.

We removed the old electrics, fitted 13pin full function electrics, for L.ED compatibility we used aPCT Automotive; Towbars, Towing Electrics, Commercial Vehicle Accessories bypass relay mounted inside the vehicle soldering all connections.

We also supplied a 13pin to twin 7pin adapter

The 7pin socket had suffered water ingress & was badly corroded.
We replaced the old socket with a new Maypole Ltd 7pin socket & check all functions
