Fabrication: Spot & MIG welding, 5-axis tube bending, section rolling

We redesigned the handbrake for a classic MG sports car.

A customer asked if we could bring back a component that hasn't been made since the original car went out of production in 1984. No original tooling existed. Nobody else was making it.

We redesigned it from scratch in stainless steel, optimised for our facilities. Full in-house: CAD design, manufacturing, assembly.

Result: 100 units ordered, shipping this month.

That's heritage British engineering the TWP way—keeping classic cars on the road.

Busy day on the shop floor!

200 parts moving through production today for an automotive project, each one going through a full, controlled process to ensure quality and consistency.

From laser cutting and forming, through to spot welding M10 nuts on every component, and finishing with EP coating for durability and protection.

As many of you know, the TWP team manufactured the lift k**b for this incredible machine on our Miyano ABX-64. There’s nothing quite like seeing a precision-engineered part go from our shop floor straight into an iconic British sports car.

Things are hotting up in the CNC department at TWP!

Both of our Miyano ABX-64s are running flat out right now - with 10,000 components running on one and 800 on the other. Plus, we're fully booked with jobs stacking up over the next couple of weeks.

That momentum builds on a massive team effort last month, where we produced just under 100,000 parts across our 11 Citizen machines. We're proud to be doing our part to keep manufacturing alive and thriving in the UK! 🇬🇧
