Door knocking isn’t the problem. How people do it is.

Loads of local businesses have been built by knocking doors, speaking to people, handing out flyers, introducing themselves, and offering a service.

Window cleaners. Dog walkers. Gardeners. Roofers. Exterior cleaners. Trades. Local lads trying to get started.

There’s nothing wrong with that.

What is wrong is being pushy, not taking no for an answer, pressuring people, or making someone feel uncomfortable at their own front door.

That’s not what I do.

I knocked because I was working nearby, noticed something I could help with, and offered a quote.

If someone says no, that’s absolutely fine.

But telling someone to f*** off when a simple “no thanks mate” would’ve done the job?

Come on.

You don’t have to want the service.

You don’t even have to like door knocking.

But basic respect still costs nothing.
