Have you ever had an instance where something has happened and you felt it in your body? A sensation that you perhaps noted then ignored and moved on. Or perhaps you even saw it as a weakness.?
Perhaps someone wronged you, an employee didnât fulfil their duties or someone let you down and broke your trust.
All sorts of thoughts came into your head but you also felt it in your body.
Perhaps a dull ache in the pit of your stomach. Maybe a pain in your chest.
Thereâs a reason for this.
This is your body reacting and sending a message, providing information about how youâre being affected and also how you can address the challenge in the best way.
But what do those sensations actually mean?
How can you use them to tackle this difficult situation?
This is an example of how our whole body wisdom can help us to navigate everyday life from small in-the-moment decisions, to really challenging pivotal moments that can have a big impact.
By exploring the sensations in our body, particularly our head, heart and gut, and interpreting them skilfully, we are better equipped to tackle life and business in a more helpful, holistic and aligned way that serves us and those around us.
Even a situation that seems insurmountable and incredibly challenging, when we can tap into the wisdom of our whole body, it feels so much more manageable. The solution can be found in an inner knowing and a self trust instead of panic, fear, or a need to retaliate.
Instead of wrestling with a decision, going back-and-forth overthinking and tying yourself into knots, you can go inward and the solution - with the right skills - will present itself. And it will feel right.
Itâs not always easy, but it will feel right.
