There's a secure and easy hotline that can help check if a suspicious call was genuine. The number is 159 and is operated by Stop Scams UK. ☎️

So if you receive a call from your 'bank' that you think doesn't feel quite right, hang up immediately and dial 159. You'll be connected directly to your actual bank, which should then be able to advise whether the call was genuine or not.

More than a million calls have been made to 159 since its launch.

Twenty three carers attended our coffee morning. Our Carers received gifts to celebrate Carers Week. Thank you to Pauline for the quiz. See you all next month. Thank you to the Groundwork Trust for the funding towards the day.

Wednesday 10th of June
11 am until 1 pm at Kingsleigh Methodist Church Hall Leigh (opposite Leigh bus station).

Carers Week is an annual, nationwide campaign raising awareness about Adult and Young Carers. Join us as we help people looking after someone in Wigan to recognise themself as a “Carer”. We want to spread the word about Crossroads Carers Support Group so that more Carers may be supported
