Leeds City Council is moving forward with plans to extend pedestrian-only hours across key streets in Leeds City Centre, including Briggate, Lands Lane, Commercial Street, Albion Place and Lower Albion Street, with proposed pedestrian-only times changing from 10:30am–7pm to 10am–8pm.
Further noise and out-of-hours restrictions relating to Leeds City Centre (from the River Aire to the A58(M) and Eastgate/St Peters Street ring-road), means that waste collections from city centre businesses have to take place between 05.00 and 11.00 on weekdays.
Lili Waste understands how important it is for city centre businesses to keep their waste moving and to meet the limited collection windows set by Leeds City Council. Lili Waste achieves this by:
📍 Careful route planning across key Leeds City Centre streets
🤝 Close coordination with its customers to anticipate any specific increases in waste
🧠 Employing drivers with local knowledge
This means our customers can continue to operate as normal, with waste managed efficiently and in line with the new Simpler Recycling rules relating to source segregation of recyclables.
How we operate in Leeds City Centre, respecting the balance between our customers’ needs and residents/shoppers’ expectations, demonstrates the commitment Lili Waste has to providing a flexible, reliable and compliant service, no matter how significant the challenge.
