Hi guys, a quick introduction to who’s behind the 515 club 👋
My name’s Chris and I’m based in Torquay. I grew up here before moving up to Liverpool for uni for a few years. After graduation, the job market back in 2022 wasn’t easy because of the obvious, so I decided to move back home to South Devon.
From there I took up a few different jobs from hospitality to marketing roles but, as great as Devon is, I wouldn’t place ‘job opportunities’ high up on the pros and cons list. So eventually, I decided to go it alone and start my own business.
It taught me something quickly. A lot of people down here are in a similar position. Whether that’s running a business, freelancing, or working remotely from home, the common thread is that you’re largely doing it without the structure and community that comes with a big team or a city full of people in the same boat.
That’s the reason for the 515 club. A space for business owners, freelancers, remote workers and creatives in South Devon who want to be around other people at a similar stage.
Own a local cafe and want to meet new people? Been an interior designer for 5 years and want to share what you’ve built? Been doing photography as a side hustle alongside the 9-5 and want to take it full time? Then the 515 club is for you.
