Hi everyone! When Books & Beverages becomes a physical idea, one thing I wanted to host was a book club on one evening during the week. Recently, I was offered a location within Westbury, Wiltshire to start one up but I wanted everyone's thoughts beforehand. I want to know what everyone else wants and/or expects from 'the next chapter' book club.
Things such as;
- Would you prefer it in the morning/midday/evening?
- A one hour or two hour session?
- Would you rather buy the book yourself or pay £5-£10 monthly and (it guarantees your place) and I order your copy through places like Amazon or World Of Books (a preloved book selling website)?
- You giving the book back at the end of the month which then gets sold on and the money goes towards resources (the hall cost or food/drinks) for the following month of book club?
- A session being themed based on the book (themed food and drink)?
- A lending library where you can bring preloved books and swap for a new read.
- Opinions on paying a small fee (no more than £10) to go towards resources (food/drink/location cost) and would guarantee your spot.
I wanted everyone's ideas before putting anything definite into plan as people's opinions and thoughts are vital in my plans becoming physical.
