Housing....when do we stop?
What does that actually look like if we don't? YUK!
Are we all over the legal framework designed to prevent that outcome?
If infrastructure cannot cope, development could be limited, thats what our work on the Mandatory Adaptation Reporting Power was about, fingers crossed 100% start doing it!

My MP championed it and got a reply from the Minister and there was a consultation that ended last Wednesday - what did your MP say or Council do if you asked - worth a nudge? Its not the be all and end all but its pretty close.

Bit of a crazy week.
Two gorgeous field trips showcasing our Natural Flood Management features for the Climate Resilient Mevagissey Project, meetings with our Jayne Kirkham for Truro and Falmouth on farming, Adaptation Reporting Power, and my hope to mainstream the hugely successful Climate Skills through Creativity Course for everyone. Even experts admitted there were fundamental things they didn’t know - but they really valued experiencing and understanding them.
Then we headed to the jaw-dropping Climate Change Committee’s Adapt UK launch.
I’ve attended these cycles for well over a decade and usually return to Cornwall optimistic. This time felt different.
I talk about that in this BBC Cornwall interview with Julie Skentelbery from London. It’s 8 minutes, and it matters. The pictures from our events are uplifting, but make no mistake: there are two things every single one of us can do to help turn this around - and I explain them clearly at the end of the interview.
You’re experiencing 30–35°C now… how about 40°C regularly?
Please listen, share, and act. Thanks.
And finally, on Saturday, we visited the UK’s first geothermal power plant. Extraordinary. Like the 🦫 beaver chips I took to the City, there are things you can experience in two minutes from Jane Charman & Claudia at Geothermal Projects that most people have never understood - and they would genuinely help you to understand the future we’re heading into, yet be very clever about.
Let’s get up to date, and let’s get moving together.

Look what I found! We helped low risk offenders clear drains, compost the leaves and help stop the flooding! None of them reoffended - really happy for the Ministry of Justice to get in touch and help Defra out. We did make a toolkit for this through a Defra Pathfinder - on a shelf somewhere in the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) https://climatevision.co.uk/defrapathfinderleaflitter2015/
