Meet Lauren. 🎵

The woman behind the decks at this year's Mid Year Celebration.

When I dreamt up this year's theme of UNAPOLOGETIC - I knew dancing had to be part of it. Because we've been so busy making ourselves smaller so everyone else feels comfortable, we've forgotten what it actually feels like to just let go.

And so The Wild Hour was born.
And finding the right woman for the job.

Enter Lauren.
(and yes I did get a bit overexcited when she said yes)

One of the warmest, most recognisable voices in the North East - 8 years waking up Aberdeen on the radio and hosting events like the Tall Ships. She knows exactly how to read a room and lift it.

The woman behind the socials at this year's Mid Year Celebration.

Here's something most people don't think about when it comes to running an event.

When you're in the room, you're IN the room. Holding the energy, the people, the moment. You physically can't also be the one glued to your phone capturing it, posting it, and telling the story of it at the same time.

The woman behind the lens at this year's Mid Year Celebration.

As women in business, we are SO good at shrinking ourselves. We hide from the camera. We tell ourselves we'll book the shoot later - when the website's done, when we feel more ready, when we've got our s**t together a bit more.

And meanwhile? We're building incredible businesses with nothing to show for them. No images that capture who we actually are now. No proof of the woman doing the work.

This is exactly why having Iana in the room on June 12th matters.
Not just someone with a camera. Someone who sees you. Someone who captures the version of you that you can't quite see in yourself yet - the one already showing up, already doing the thing.

Let's talk about the Mid Year Celebration venue for a sec because where this day happens matters.
