Before becoming the Career Queen, Mel was an Employability Consultant and Trainer, with many years of working within the Recruitment Industry as both a Manager and Consultant. She has worked with a number of blue chip multinational organisations as well as local businesses overseeing their recruitment at all levels from Apprenticeships and entry level positions through to Directors. There were common themes emerging that were holding back candidates back in their journey to employment. As an expert in the Employment field, Mel is very keen to share her knowledge and experience in helping you to succeed in gaining employment. She has most recently been working with schools and sharing her knowledge and skills with those leaving school and entering the world of employment. Mel will give you advice and support for throughout her programmes, she is driven to assist you in getting to be the very best that you can. Our apprenticeship scheme is open for applicants for the 2023 intake.

There are nine apprenticeships up for grabs across the Nexus organisation.

Roles include project management, human resources, data science, bus services, and infrastructure maintenance on the Tyne and Wear Metro, including overhead line and structures.

The closing date for applicants is Sunday 26 February.
