A calm night at Ullapool Harbour, lit beautifully by the reflections from the boats, the village, and of course the Christmas trees.

Huge credit to Ullapool Harbour Trust for the continued improvements around the waterfront — the Shore Street upgrade looks fantastic — and to Ullapool Fire and Light for the beautiful illumination throughout the village, and of course the iconic Creel Tree.

We always take the flags down for the winter but very early this morning the gang decided it was as good a time as any to celebrate World Cup qualification and up went the Saltire. Well done Scotland. What a game last night!! ⚽️🏆🏆⚽️

This is what was happening last weekend in Ullapool - bike lovers and sun worshippers. What a day for a festival!

It's looking a bit cooler tomorrow but we're still busy. First off, we're expecting Paddle Steamer Waverley back to Ullapool around 2.30pm. 22nd May 1975 was the date of her first sailing in preservation so we're privileged to welcome her on such an important anniversary. If you fancy taking some or all of the journey up the west coast or even a short 90 minute trip out of Ullapool Harbour, there are still spaces available. In case you can't open the link, there are some very cool things happening - this weekend (tomorrow) there's a classic bike festival with lots of great bikes, music and food all day and the forecast is ☀️☀️☀️.
Next Thursday May 22nd Paddle Steamer Waverley returns to Ullapool and alongside day trips from Inverness, Kyle and Gairloch there will be a lovely wee trip around Loch Broom, Isle Martin and the local lighthouse. Check out https://waverleyexcursions.co.uk/ for more info.

On Monday 26 May the Black Isle branch of charitable choir, the People’s Show Choir, with 20 branches across the UK are coming to the area for a day out. In total, a group of 104 choir members and a small orchestra will perform twice – at 11am on Shore Quay (harbour entrance – weather permitting) and at 2.30pm in the Ferry Terminal.

Finally, Ullapool Coastal Rowing Club is hosting Ullapool’s Annual Skiff Regatta from 23rd to 26th May.
