🔧 Audi S3 Drivetrain Service 🔧
Maintenance might not be the most exciting modification you can make to a performance car, but it's often the most important.
This Audi S3 was in with us for a full drivetrain service, including the transfer box, rear differential and Haldex system.
The transfer box oil and rear differential oil both looked to be in excellent condition, exactly what we like to see. The Haldex oil and pump filter, however, told a very different story. Years of contamination had built up around the filter and pump assembly, restricting flow and reducing the effectiveness of the system.
It's a perfect example of why preventative maintenance is worthwhile. Everything may appear to be working normally, but hidden away inside the Haldex unit the oil and filter can become heavily contaminated over time.
The system was thoroughly cleaned, fresh oil installed, and the required pump relearns and adaptations carried out to ensure everything was operating exactly as intended.
Now back together and performing as it should, this S3 is ready for many more miles of reliable quattro motoring. 👌
