Gresham Office Furniture Ltd Since 1976, we have dedicated ourselves to providing workspace furniture of the highest quality. We started our business in Bolton, Greater Manchester
in 1976.

One of the largest independent designers and
manufacturers of workspace furniture in the UK. Our headquarters are located on a 10-acre site
alongside the motorway network and covers 200,000ft2
of office and factory space. We are proud of the fact we have maintained a simple controlled approach to our business and are still owned and run by family members. Our workforce has expanded to over 250 dedicated people, all expertly skilled and committed to the business of designing, producing and installing superb workspace furniture. 50 years in the making. And this is where it all began…

Since 1976, Gresham has been designing and manufacturing furniture for the spaces where people work – building a business shaped by great people, thoughtful design and a passion for what we do.

As we approach our 50th anniversary this November, we’re going back through the Gresham archives to revisit the people, products, milestones and moments that have shaped our journey.

From where we started to where we are today, we’ll be sharing the story of Gresham and celebrating the journey along the way.

Sustainability isn’t just about the finished product – it’s about every step of the manufacturing process.

At Gresham Office Furniture offcut wood from production doesn’t go to waste. Instead, it’s fed into our on-site biomass boiler, where it’s converted into renewable energy to help heat our factory and offices.

By repurposing materials that would otherwise be discarded, we’re reducing waste, lowering our environmental impact, and making the most of every resource.

Recap

It was fantastic to connect with so many customers, suppliers, designers, and collaborators throughout the week. Thank you to everyone who visited our showroom and helped make Clerkenwell Design Week 2026 such a memorable occasion.

The week was a great opportunity to share ideas, build new connections, and showcase our approach to workplace design in such a vibrant and inspiring setting.
