Could This Be the Beginning of Something Meaningful?

We're looking for a small number of thoughtful, heart-led individuals to join the growing team at Yellow Rock Sanctuary.

This isn't simply a volunteering opportunity, and it isn't a conventional job. We're looking for people who feel drawn to a simpler way of living and who may eventually become part of the long-term future of the sanctuary.

The opportunity begins with a three-month voluntary mutual trial, giving both you and us the time to discover whether we're the right fit for one another.

During this time you'll have:

• Your own private bedroom in our shared community house in the local village (a few minutes from the sanctuary)
• A weekly household budget
• Shared use of a vehicle
• The opportunity to become part of a small, supportive community dedicated to meaningful work, presence and personal responsibility.

If, after the initial three months, we both feel the relationship is right, we'll begin discussing a longer-term commitment, including a monthly stipend and increased responsibility within the sanctuary.

After around twelve months, for those who wish to make Yellow Rock Sanctuary a more permanent part of their lives, there may be the opportunity to move into a longer-term role within the organisation, with additional support and responsibilities.

We're currently looking for people who feel naturally suited to areas such as:

• Guest Experience & Administration
• Kitchen & Housekeeping
• Communications, Social Media & Marketing

More important than previous experience is maturity, reliability, kindness and a willingness to contribute wherever needed. We're looking for people who value simplicity, enjoy working alongside others and want to help build something that will endure.

No matter how much you try to find happiness by becoming something more or someone better you will always end up meeting a sense of ‘not enough’. Happiness is not a thing you find, it is the recognition of your true nature - you are happiness forgetting you are happiness because you are caught up in the story of ‘becoming’. To sit still and honor what is really happening in the present moment is the only way hapiness is known. Everything else is an idea, a thought, a notion… and it is temporary.

We all reach moments when carrying on at the same pace no longer feels sustainable.

A Private Retreat at Yellow Rock Sanctuary is an opportunity to step away from the demands of everyday life and spend time entirely in your own rhythm.

Stay for a few days in one of our peaceful pods or sanctuary shared accommodation, wander the woodlands, rest, read, reflect and simply be.

If you'd like a little more support, you can personalise your stay with one-to-one sessions, massage, yoga, breathwork, Body Flow, sound therapy, guided meditation or time in the sauna.

There is no schedule to keep up with.

No pressure to achieve anything.

Just space... to slow down, breathe and reconnect with yourself.

Learn to Be a Teacher of Presence is not a path of self-improvement. It is not about fixing yourself, overcoming yourself, or becoming a better version of yourself.

Rather, it is an exploration of what remains when the endless effort to arrive somewhere begins to soften.

Over the course of a year, you will be invited into a deep and grounded inquiry into the nature of experience itself.

Together we will explore the movement of thought, identity, separation, resistance, and seeking, not in order to change them, but to see them more clearly.

As clarity deepens, there is often a natural recognition of the presence that has always been here, untouched by circumstance, untouched by the stories of the mind.

But simply being fully present with another human being exactly as they are.

You will learn how to hold space for those navigating their own challenges, questions, growth, and awakening, without needing to manage their experience, improve their condition, or take responsibility for where their journey leads.
