Sunday service.
A new client drove down specially for Simon's Sharpening Service to put right some poor sharpening. 2x pairs brought up to my standard of sharpness and smoothness. Yes, on a Sunday morning. Do I charge extra for this kind of out of hours service? Of course not, it is what sets me apart from the run-of-the-mill.

The shears are now all done. After a couple of days soaking in releasing fluid I have got the pivot nuts undone, cleaned off the rust, sanded and oiled the wooden handles, cut new, sharp edges, reassembled and tested. Compare before and after.

The first garden tools of the year have landed. These garden shears have suffered but I will bring them back to life. The first pair have been cleaned of the sap, resin and corossion and prepared ready for sharpening. The others are blued steel, they will need sympathetic treatment to not break through the bluing. Updates later in the week.
