Another professional security installation completed by ATB Systems.

The customer required comprehensive protection across both the main entrance and rear access, with the convenience of being able to manage the system remotely.

Our solution was to install a Risco LightSYS+ system, incorporating multiple detection points, two keypads, internal sounder and our branded illuminated external siren.

The system is also connected to the iRisco app, giving the customer complete control of their alarm system from their phone — including remote arming and disarming.

A clean, discreet installation with reliable security and modern remote access, tailored specifically to the requirements of the premises.

Another mains board upgrade completed ⚡️

This one was an old dual-RCD plastic board, which has been replaced with a new metal consumer unit with individual RCBO protection and SPD protection.

The new setup provides individual protection to each circuit, helping to minimise disruption to other circuits in the event of a fault.

Another tidy, modern installation completed for a customer. 🔧⚡️

⚡ Consumer Unit Upgrade Completed ⚡

Another mains upgrade completed following an unsatisfactory EICR.

The existing consumer unit had no RCD protection, so it was replaced with a modern RCBO consumer unit with surge protection.

The new installation now features:

✅ Individual RCBO protection to each circuit
✅ Surge protection (SPD)
✅ Improved fault protection and circuit discrimination
✅ Greater protection for the property and electrical equipment
✅ Installation completed to the current requirements of BS 7671

Individual RCBO protection means that if a fault occurs on one circuit, the affected circuit can disconnect independently, rather than unnecessarily taking other circuits out with it.

Another EICR identifying an issue and another installation brought up to a safer, more modern standard.

⚡ Another consumer unit upgrade completed

This one was upgraded from an older board that had no RCD protection at all.

The new consumer unit now provides individual RCBO protection across the circuits, giving each circuit its own RCD protection and overcurrent protection.

This means a fault on one circuit is isolated to that circuit, rather than potentially taking out multiple circuits at once, while also providing a significantly higher level of protection than the previous installation.

The board has been fully labelled and left neat and tidy, with the installation brought up to a much more modern standard.

A good example of why it’s worth having an older consumer unit checked, especially where there is little or no RCD protection in place.

⚡ Mains board upgrade completed

This installation has been upgraded to a new consumer unit with individual RCBO protection on each circuit, giving improved protection and greater reliability throughout the property.

Unlike a standard RCD setup, individual RCBOs mean that if a fault occurs on one circuit, only that circuit should trip, rather than taking multiple circuits out with it. This helps reduce nuisance tripping and makes it much easier to identify and isolate a fault.

The new board also includes surge protection, helping protect the installation and connected equipment from voltage surges.

The finished board is neatly arranged, clearly labelled and provides a much more comprehensive level of protection than the previous installation.

A busy few days with a variety of electrical work completed! ⚡

✅ Upgraded a kitchen with modern LED downlights and under-cabinet LED lighting, giving the space a much brighter and cleaner finish.

✅ Installed a new outdoor socket, making it easier for the customer to power garden equipment and outdoor appliances.

✅ Replaced an overhead garage supply that was previously run in twin & earth with a correctly installed steel wire armoured (SWA) cable supported on a catenary wire for a much safer and more durable installation.

✨ As a finishing touch, I also reinstalled the customer’s fairy lights so everything was back up and looking great.

💡 Another lighting upgrade completed! ⚡

This job involved replacing a set of old halogen downlights with new LED downlights.

The existing fittings no longer met current electrical regulations, and the original installation method also fell short of today’s standards. Over the years, the heat generated by the halogen lamps had caused thermal damage to the terminations, leaving them deteriorated and in need of replacement.

We also replaced the old triangle under cabinet lights with the LED equivalent which still fits in the existing triangle, these are also very prone to thermal damage by the old halogen lamps

The new LED downlights provide a much safer, more energy-efficient solution while bringing the installation up to current regulations and giving the customer a cleaner, brighter finish.
