As many of you know, Mick Titley sadly passed away on December 24th 2023.

All of us at Crime Guard would like to send our love and prayers to Sue, his wife, his children Michael, Richard, Chris and Gemma, his many grandchildren and brother Peter, plus all the rest of his family. We also give Thanks to God for the time that we were all blessed to know him.

On a company note, Mick always worked to the highest standard running school security and taking on some caretaking duties. He travelled the country doing dog restraint work and also managed a kennels.

Mick helped many people in many ways and we will never forget. Our Director, Steve Bailey appreciated the times when he would take Steve’s Guard dog Croc and look after him when he was away.

Mick's funeral will be held on 24th January, leaving the house at 08:45 and the service will be at 09:00 at St Botolphs, followed by committal at Knottingley Cemetery at 10:00 which you are all welcome to attend.

There will be a pause at Mick's allotment for a minute on the way to the cemetery.

We will then go to The Progressive Club after the service. Again everyone is welcome

Mick wasn't a flower person so will just be family flowers but there will be a donation box for the Dogs Trust in his name.

You may be aware of the recent passing of Mick Titley, the beloved Husband of our General Manager, Sue. Please see the below words from Sue.

"I would like to thank each and everyone of you from the bottom of my heart for your messages, sympathy cards, flowers and personnel visits.

I was overwhelmed with the messages on here especially from so many young people, he touched the hearts of so many (in one way or another).

Its been hard very hard for all of us, his death wasn't expected, it was a shock for myself, Michael, Richard, Chris and Gemma and our Grandchildren, also for both our immediate family, especially his brother Peter.

Everyone has been amazing, our kids especially, our friends and our family.

The past 17 days have been horrendous and we wouldn't have got through them without you all.
There has been a lot of red tape to get through because Michaels death was sudden but today we were told we can have the date we wanted for his funeral which will be 24th January, we will leave the house at 08:45 and the service will be at 09:00 at St Botolphs, followed by committal at Knottingley cemetery at 10:00 which you are all welcome to attend.

We will pause at Micks allotment for a minute on our way to the cemetery.

We will then go to The Progressive Club (wish it could have been The Kellingley Club) again everyone is welcome.

Mick wasn't a flower person so will just be family flowers but we will have a donation box for the Dogs Trust in his name.

Although I have wrote this, I feel like I am doing it for someone else, it still doesn't feel real.

We went from a house filled with Christmas cards to a house filled with sympathy cards in one day. I was blessed to have him in my life for 55 years, his kids were blessed to have him as a Father, he did his job, now he can rest in peace."
