Maia Waste Ltd is looking for reliable, hardworking labourers to join our busy waste transfer station in Rotherham.

The role includes:
✅ Sorting recyclable materials
✅ General site housekeeping
✅ Assisting plant operators
✅ Working safely as part of a team

What we’re looking for:
• Hard-working and reliable attitude
• Punctual and willing to learn
• Previous waste or recycling experience is an advantage, but not essential

It's that time again. Training starts this week as we prepare for the new season and we are looking for individual player sponsorship.

⚠️ Important Customer Update ⚠️

Due to the ongoing nationwide shortage of compliant waste disposal outlets, Maia Waste is currently experiencing significant disruption to downstream disposal routes.

Despite exhausting every available option to secure additional capacity, we have been left with no alternative but to introduce temporary measures to protect our existing customers and maintain essential services.

From Monday 20th July 2026:

* ♻️ Third-party waste tipping will be charged at a temporary rate of £200 per tonne + VAT to reflect the substantially increased disposal costs we are currently facing.
* 🛻 Skip hire prices will also increase by £15 + VAT per skip until disposal costs return to normal.

This is a decision we have not taken lightly. We understand the inconvenience this may cause and sincerely apologise for the short notice. The situation has developed rapidly across the waste industry, and these measures are purely temporary.

Our team is working continuously to secure additional compliant disposal outlets, and we will return to our normal pricing as soon as market conditions allow.

We would like to thank all of our customers for their patience, understanding and continued support during this exceptionally challenging period for the UK waste industry.

A recent gatage extension we have completed for a lovley customer martyn , he's a big car enthusiast and collects rare limited edition Honda's.

We actually finished the garage extension some time ago but the custmer then wanted inside the garage insulating and osb boarding to make it a nice working space for when he works on his cars.

Then the customer wanted ,what he calls a posh shed/ summer house. With a pathway along the garage and summer house

And finally today we've laid a base with some old flags from another job that was waste for his potting shed and a fence to make his garden back secure.

We've loved working here and it shows.

Big thank you to martyn the customer for endless cups of tea and coffees , pork pies and choosing us to carry out his work for him.

Big thank you to S.T.H Roofing LTD for the garage roof and the alwita flat roof on the summer house.
