Every person in these photos has played a huge part in my marketing journey

Special shout out to Joe, we started our BNI chapter together 5 years ago, we became each others clients and have become great friends and a huge supporter of each others work

From working with Open House Pictures , I met Elliot Ghali at Example Marketing and soon came the rest of the Example team.

I’ve been incredibly lucky to work with people who started as connections and became such a big part of the business story.

Watching this side of the business grow has been a journey in itself and I couldn’t have done it without this team around me.

Dare I even say I enjoy the content days???

Money conversations aren’t Paul’s favourite thing, and after three years together, he’ll still admit that.

Luckily, he’s brought in some extra support… his mum.

Talking about money isn’t easy for everyone, and that’s completely normal.

Having the right support makes a huge difference, whether that’s a partner, a parent… or a very organised mum who keeps an eye on the bank statements.

If only all financial planning clients came with a built-in PA.

We’ve all had that one purchase we probably shouldn’t have made but still defend to this day.

For Paul Smith Comedian, it was an £8,000 fur coat.At least it made its way into a film, so I suppose that’s a win 😅

The thing that a lot of people don’t think about is that money decisions aren’t always logical. Sometimes they’re emotional, whether that be, frustration, excitement, pride, and that’s completely normal.

As a financial adviser, I never tell people not to enjoy their money. But I do remind them to understand why they’re spending.

If you can spot the emotion behind a purchase, you can spend your money with intention rather than impulse.

So, what’s your “fur coat” moment?

I’ll admit it, when Joe first suggested using video in my business, I wasn’t convinced

Fast forward a few years, and I can’t imagine my business without them. Video has helped me connect with clients on a whole new level and really showcase what financial advice is all about.

What started as a working relationship has turned into a friendship, from videographer and client to a real friend.

Working with Open House Pictures has been amazing and I'm so grateful to be able to work with friends, not just alongside them👏

Is it even a content day with Joe if he doesn’t nearly break something? 😅

Our third content day together was amazing touching on some really exciting projects.

We got some brilliant footage filming with some of my clients, Danny Wood - Financial Adviser & Jake Slack, other financial advisers from Navigation Wealth Management.

We also spent time filming fresh content for the new landing pages on the website.

I love about working with Joe and Open House Pictures it's always fun, and I might even admit that I like making the videos.

Not a bad way to spend a Monday 🎥

One of the best parts of my job is building long term relationships with clients and working with Paul Smith Comedian has been a brilliant example of that.

Like most creatives, Paul’s world is busy, and full of opportunities that don’t always fit neatly into a spreadsheet. My role is to bring patience, and sometimes a good poker face to make sure the important financial planning still gets done.

What I love about working with people in the creative and entertainment industry is exactly this balance, giving them the freedom to focus on their craft, while I make sure their finances are supported in the background.

That usually means plenty of laughs along the way too 👏

If there is one ting that Paul Smith Comedian has taught me, its that finances never have to derail your fun.

Being Paul's financial adviser has been an eye opener for sure, and its definitely put me through my paces.

Most notably his long list of cars...

Working with Paul has meant helping him enjoy his passions without compromising the bigger picture.

Paul is a massive family man and helping structure finances has meant that their future is as supported as his.
