🔧 Kärcher B 200 R Ride-On Scrubber Dryer – Service & Inspection

We recently attended a Kärcher B 200 R ride-on scrubber dryer that was in desperate need of some TLC!

Whilst on site, we carried out a much-needed service and inspection, uncovering several issues that need attention:

🔹 Damaged/missing side blade securing strap
🔹 Worn side blades and squeegee blades
🔹 Slightly crushed drain hose
🔹 Worn disc brushes
🔹 Vacuum motor showing signs that it may be nearing the end of its life

Following our inspection, we provided the customer with a quote for the repairs needed to get this machine back to its best. ✅

We also recommended putting a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) plan in place to help keep the machine in good working order, reduce the risk of unexpected breakdowns and catch potential issues before they become bigger problems.

The customer is keen to get a PPM plan in place with us, which is great news! 🙌

Single oven grill element replacement 🔧

We recently attended a single oven where the grill element was still working, but on closer inspection, we spotted some weak spots developing on the element itself.

Although it hadn’t failed completely, it was showing signs of deterioration and could have stopped working altogether at any time.

We talked the customer through the options, and they decided it was better to replace the grill element now rather than risk it failing in the near future. 👍

We supplied and fitted a new grill element, getting everything back together and checking the oven over afterwards.

✅ New grill element fitted and the job completed!

Sometimes it’s worth dealing with a part that’s on its way out before it leaves you without a working appliance when you need it most!

🔧 Bosch dishwasher repair

We recently attended a Bosch dishwasher after the customer noticed a loud ratcheting/grinding noise whenever the machine was running.

After carrying out some checks, we diagnosed the fault as a failed water distributor.

We supplied and fitted a new water distributor, then ran the dishwasher through a full test to make sure the noise had gone and everything was working correctly.

✅ Noise gone and dishwasher back up and running!

Another appliance fault diagnosed and sorted without the customer having to replace the whole machine.

🔧 NILFISK scrubber dryer repair at Boston Spa Academy

We recently attended Boston Spa Academy after their NILFISK scrubber dryer stopped turning on.

The customer mentioned that the key barrel felt loose, which gave us a good starting point.

We removed the control panel to get a closer look and found that the key barrel had indeed come loose. Unfortunately, it had been used while loose for some time, which had eventually caused one of the wires to snap.

We repaired the damaged wiring and made sure the connection was secure before putting everything back together.

The machine was then fully tested to make sure everything was working correctly.

✅ Fault diagnosed, wiring repaired and the NILFISK scrubber dryer is back up and running!

Another commercial cleaning machine back where it needs to be — doing its job rather than sitting out of action! 💪

💧 Washing machine leaking?

We recently attended a washing machine after the customer noticed water leaking from the appliance.

After checking the machine over, we found the culprit — the hose running from the detergent dispenser to the tub had developed a small hole.

It wasn’t a huge hole, but it was enough to cause a leak whenever the machine was filling with water.

We supplied and fitted a new dispenser-to-tub hose, then ran the washing machine through a test to make sure there were no further leaks and everything was working as it should.

✅ Leak sorted and washing machine back up and running!

Sometimes a small split or hole in a hose can cause a surprisingly big mess! 💦

Another appliance repair done and another washing machine saved. 🔧

🔧 Bosch washing machine not draining?

We recently attended a Bosch washing machine that was refusing to drain properly.

We checked the usual things first — drain filter, hoses and pump — but there were no blockages and everything looked pretty much as it should.

The drain pump impeller was also spinning, so at first glance the pump appeared to be working.

However, it simply wasn’t pumping with enough power to remove the water from the machine. Sometimes a pump can look and sound like it’s working but still be too weak to do the job properly.

We supplied and fitted a new drain pump, then tested the washing machine to make sure it was draining correctly.

✅ Problem solved and the Bosch washing machine is back up and running!

Another good example of why a fault isn’t always as obvious as a blockage or something visibly broken. 🔧

🔧 Two Truvox carpet cleaners back up and running!

We recently attended a busy school to diagnose faults on two Truvox carpet cleaning machines.

Both machines needed a bit of attention to get them back to where they needed to be, so we supplied and fitted the required replacement parts.

The repairs included:

🧹 New brush rollers
💧 New water pump
⚙️ New drive belt

Once all the replacement parts were fitted, we put both machines back together and gave them a full test to make sure everything was working correctly.

✅ Both carpet cleaners are now back up and running and ready for the school to get back to keeping those carpets clean!

Keeping cleaning equipment maintained and repaired quickly can make a big difference when it’s being used regularly in a busy environment.

Another couple of machines saved from sitting on the sidelines!

🔧 Commercial dryer repair at Morley Academy

We recently attended Morley Academy after they reported that their commercial dryer wasn’t spinning.

When we arrived, we spotted something straight away — one of the machine’s feet was missing, leaving the dryer sitting off balance.

We refitted the missing foot and then stripped the dryer down to get access to the motor and pulley.

Once we got in there, we found that running the machine off balance had caused the pulley to come out of its fixing.

We refitted and secured the pulley, put everything back together and gave the dryer a full test.

✅ All sorted and the dryer is now spinning and working as it should!

It just goes to show that something as simple as a missing foot can eventually lead to a bigger problem if a machine is left running off balance.

Another commercial machine back up and running and ready to get back to work. 💪

🔥 Oven not heating up?

We recently attended an oven that had stopped heating properly.

After carrying out some checks, we found the bottom heating element had failed. Unfortunately, the failed element had also caused one of the electrical terminals to burn out.

We checked the wiring and found that one of the connectors had been damaged, so we fitted a new spade connector to that wire. We also checked the other connection and wiring, which was all in good condition. 👍

We then supplied and fitted a new bottom heating element and put everything back together.

Once the repair was complete, we tested the oven to make sure it was heating correctly and working as it should.

✅ Another oven back up and running!

🔥 Washer dryer not heating?

We recently attended a washer dryer after the customer reported that the dryer wasn’t heating up.

We found that the thermal cut-out had tripped, but there’s usually a reason why a thermal cut-out trips in the first place — simply resetting it isn’t always the answer.

So we stripped down the dryer air ducting and airflow system to get a look at the heater element and fan.

That’s where we found the problem… 👀

The airflow system was heavily clogged with fluff and debris, restricting the airflow and causing the dryer to overheat. This had caused the thermal cut-out to trip and stop the dryer from heating.

We cleaned everything out properly, making sure the heater, fan and airways were clear and able to move air as they should.

The machine was then put back together and tested to make sure the dryer was heating and operating correctly. ✅

As we head into the colder months, your washer dryer is likely to be getting used more often. Regular servicing and cleaning can help prevent issues like restricted airflow, overheating and thermal cut-outs tripping.

If your washer dryer is taking longer to dry, overheating, not heating or hasn’t been serviced for a while, it could be worth getting it checked over. 🔧
