LAVOR ride-on scrubber dryer service at East Midlands Airport! ✈️🔧

We were recently out at East Midlands Airport carrying out a routine service on a LAVOR ride-on scrubber dryer.

As part of the checks, we found a couple of things that needed sorting.

The drain hose had developed a few small pin-prick holes, so we made a temporary repair to stop it leaking and secured the damaged section with electrical tape. It’s now watertight and usable until the new hose can be fitted.

We also found some oxidation/corrosion on the positive battery terminal of one of the batteries. This can increase resistance at the connection and, if left, can potentially affect charging and machine performance. We cleaned the terminal and connection up, then checked the battery fluid levels and voltage.

🔧 We also went through the usual service checks, including the batteries, charger, hoses, connections, squeegee blades and general condition of the machine.

Once everything was checked and cleaned up, we gave it a full test to make sure everything was working properly.

✅ All tested and working as it should.

🔥 Oven repaired and back up and running! 🔧

We recently attended an oven where the customer reported that it wasn’t heating up.

After carrying out some checks, we found the heating element had blown. While inspecting the appliance, we also noticed that the fan motor wasn’t working and the fan wasn’t spinning.

We replaced both the heating element and the fan motor and blade assembly, which came as a complete kit.

Once everything was fitted, we gave the oven a full test to make sure the fan was running correctly and the oven was heating as it should. ✅

Two faults found, both sorted, and another oven back in action!

🔧 Loud noise on spin? Sometimes it’s not what you expect! 🧺

We recently visited a washer dryer that was making a really loud knocking noise when it reached full spin.

After a quick inspection, we found the brace that holds the power card in place had snapped and was left loose inside the appliance. When the drum was spinning and moving at high speed, it was knocking against the loose brace and the side panel, causing the loud noise.

We secured the brace back into position to stop it moving around and explained to the customer that this was only a temporary repair. The correct repair would be to replace the damaged part.

The replacement cost was discussed with the customer, and they decided they were happy to see how they get on with the temporary repair for now.

We tested the washer dryer afterwards and everything was working as it should. ✅

It’s a good reminder that a strange noise doesn’t always mean there’s a problem with the drum or bearings!

🔥 New oven supplied and fitted! 🔧

We recently supplied and fitted a graded oven for a tenant who needed a new appliance but wanted to keep the cost down.

The oven had some minor cosmetic damage to the outer casing, but importantly, nothing was damaged on the front or anything that would be visible once installed.

Graded appliances can be a great way of getting a brand-new appliance at a lower cost, especially when the cosmetic damage is hidden and doesn’t affect the performance of the appliance.

We removed the old oven, fitted the new one, checked all the connections and carried out a full test to make sure everything was working correctly. ✅

The customer now has a brand-new oven at a reduced price, and another appliance saved from costing more than it needed to!

🧽 Routine service completed on a Numatic scrubber dryer! 🔧

We recently visited Phoenix Healthcare to carry out a routine service on their Numatic 244NX PED scrubber dryer.

Regular servicing is important with commercial cleaning equipment to help keep machines running properly, spot any potential issues early, and keep them performing at their best.

We carried out our usual checks and maintenance on the machine, making sure everything was in good working order before putting it back into service. ✅

🔧 Integrated dishwasher repaired! 🍽️

We were called out to a dishwasher where the door was dropping down unless it was held in place, making it awkward and potentially unsafe to use.

As it was an integrated dishwasher, we removed the appliance to investigate the problem properly. We found that the right-hand door spring had snapped, which was causing the door to fall open.

We supplied and fitted a new door spring and also recommended replacing both springs at the same time, as they work together and the other spring has also had the same amount of use. The customer was happy to replace just the broken spring for now.

Once everything was back together, we tested the door operation and the dishwasher, and everything is now working as it should. ✅

🧺 Indesit washing machine back up and running! 🔧

We were called out to an Indesit washing machine that wouldn’t start a cycle, with the 3H light flashing.

After carrying out some checks, we found the door lock wiring had burnt out, which had also caused damage to the door lock itself.

We cut back the damaged wiring and checked everything over to make sure it was safe to repair. We then fitted new connectors to all three wires and replaced the faulty door lock.

Once everything was back together, we ran the machine through a full test and it’s now working perfectly again. ✅

Another fault found, repaired and one less washing machine heading for the scrap pile! 👌

🧽 LVOR SR90 scrubber dryer back up and running! 🔧

We recently attended a LVOR SR90 scrubber dryer that would switch on but had no drive — it wouldn’t move forwards or backwards when the pedal was pressed.

After carrying out some checks, we found the seat switch had become disconnected. This is an important safety feature on the machine, so with the switch disconnected, the drive system wouldn’t operate. Once we reconnected it, the machine was moving forwards and backwards as it should. ✅

While we were on site, we also carried out a general check over of the machine, including:

🔹 Cleaned and unblocked the clean water filter to improve solution flow
🔹 Cleaned the squeegee bar and blades
🔹 Found a seized castor wheel, which was removed and lubricated
🔹 Checked the hoses and motors
🔹 Checked the batteries and charger
🔹 Checked the general operation and condition of the machine

Once everything had been checked and attended to, we gave the scrubber dryer a full operational test and everything was working as it should.

Another machine back in action and ready to get cleaning! 💪
