Great to attend today’s Wakefield Mental Health Day at Wakefield Exchange 💚

Organised by Turning Point Talking Therapies, the event brought together local organisations, support services and our community to get people talking about mental health and discover the support available across the district.

Our city centre is full of people who make Wakefield what it is from business owners, staff, residents and visitors. Looking after their wellbeing matters, and it’s brilliant to see an event like this bringing people together right in the heart of our city.

A big thank you to everyone involved in making it happen 👏

If you’re in town this afternoon, there’s still time to pop in… it’s free to attend and runs until 4pm today.

What do Wakefield’s city centre businesses want from the next five years?

More visitors. A cleaner, more welcoming city centre. Safer streets. A stronger voice.

You spoke. We listened. Now Danny is taking you through the priorities behind Wakefield BID’s proposed Business Plan for 2027–2032.

Hear from Danny, then explore the full plan and what it could mean for our city centre: https://www.wakefieldbid.co.uk/what-we-do/business-plan-2027-2032/

The proposed programme is subject to a successful renewal ballot.

Not saying our city-centre businesses had anything to do with it…

But Wakefield Trinity had never won a Super League title before we posted this. 👀

Coincidence? Probably.

Are we taking a tiny bit of credit anyway? Absolutely. 😉🏆

Congratulations, Trin! 🔴⚪🔵
