With temperatures rising, Phoenix Care Wakefield would like to remind everyone to take extra care during the hot weather — especially our elderly and vulnerable community members 💙

Please remember to:
💧 Drink plenty of water throughout the day
🏠 Keep homes cool by closing curtains and windows during peak heat
👒 Wear light clothing and avoid going out in the hottest part of the day
🍽️ Eat little and often if appetite is reduced
📞 Most importantly — check in on elderly relatives, neighbours, and friends regularly

A simple phone call or visit can make a huge difference. Heat can affect older people very quickly, and loneliness can feel worse during extreme weather.
