Who's going through their pattern archive at home? We definitely are!

Object 65 from the Knitting & Crochet Guild Collection, posted by , is a yellow waistcoat knitted in the early 1950s. Here's the pattern, from Patons & Baldwins. The fronts are in linen stitch, to look like woven cloth. Linen stitch gives a nice effect, but is very slow to knit, especially in the 3-ply wool used for the waistcoat. You only knit half the stitches on each row, and slip the others, so the waistcoat has 80 rows to 10cm.
