Youth unemployment has reached 14.7% , its highest level since 2014.

At the same time, businesses across the print and packaging industry continue to face skills shortages and the challenge of an ageing workforce.

In our latest press release, our Managing Director, Joanna Stephenson, explores what the latest ONS labour market data means for the sector and why it could represent a rare opportunity to engage the next generation of talent.

With hiring activity slowing across other parts of the economy, many traditional entry routes for young people are becoming less accessible. As economic conditions improve and competition for talent returns, this window may not stay open for long. Businesses that act now could be best placed to secure the workforce they need for the future.

The Swiss are known for precision, and their new packaging ordinance is nothing if not precise.

VerpV sets out recycling targets, recycled-content thresholds and take-back rules with characteristic exactness. However, while it’s similar to the EU's PPWR legislation, it’s not identical.

In our latest blog, we take a closer look at the new regulations, and what they suggest about the future of packaging sustainability: https://thinkb2bmarketing.pulse.ly/fyjotiryrw

Switzerland has adopted a new Ordinance on Packaging (VerpV), setting minimum recycling rates of 55% for plastic packaging and 70% for beverage cartons. Every packaging trade outlet has led with those figures, and they’re worth knowing. They are not, however, the full story.

Think B2B Marketing has been awarded the EcoVadis Platinum medal, achieving a score of 89/100 and placing us in the top 1% of more than 150,000 companies assessed worldwide.

We’re incredibly proud of the achievement, but what matters most is what it means for our clients.

Your marketing agency is part of your supply chain. When customers, procurement teams or ESG leaders assess the organisations you work with, they’re assessing your suppliers too.

Our EcoVadis Platinum rating provides independent, third-party validation that Think B2B operates to the highest standards of environmental, ethical and responsible business practice.

Alongside our ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications, it gives clients added confidence that they’re working with a partner whose standards match the ones they are expected to meet.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll share more about the journey to Platinum, what we learned along the way and how it is shaping our business. We’ll also be publishing our first ESG Report later this year.

If sustainability is becoming a more important part of how your organisation selects suppliers and partners, we’d be delighted to start a conversation.

The FIFA World Cup 2026 has provided another opportunity for brands to capitalise on football fever.

From the expected to the quirky, this summer there has been wall-to-wall themed packaging to see, touch, and feel. Whether a drinker, a snacker, or a pet owner, there has been something for everyone.

What have we seen?
What have we learned?
And what’s next?

David Pittman, Senior Account Manager at Think B2B Marketing, shares a reminder and offers up inspiration for all in the packaging value chain for their next big packaging project.

Switzerland isn’t staying neutral on packaging sustainability. Its new Ordinance on Packaging (VerpV) sets minimum recycling rates of 55% for plastic and 70% for beverage cartons, but it’s also signposting something bigger: a non-EU country in the heart of Europe writing a rulebook that resembles PPWR without matching it identically.

For anyone selling across borders, that's the real headline. Regulation is converging in ambition... but diverging in detail.

Could a pile-up of similar-but-not-identical rules become the hardest part of packaging strategy? We unpack our thoughts on the Think B2B Marketing blog: https://thinkb2bmarketing.pulse.ly/jcxh40imyf
