This is a wonderful day to share an event that will celebrate, intrigue, educate and motivate so many people. I am so excited to be speaking at Rail Wellbeing Live alongside a whole host of incredible names, some you will recognise straight away, it is going to be an incredible event, the largest of its kind in the industry.

Today I am conducting several shorter webinars with Samsung Electronics to help boost the conversations we need to have more and more of, as well as awareness until we get this into schools to be taught.

Do one thing for yourself today, look after your self care, it is not selfish, it is essential, the more you do this, the more you will be bale to manage tougher times, your hashtag grows as a result.

Have more conversations with people, if you get a feeling that their behaviour has chnaged and you are concerned, have a chat with them, ask how they are - twice! So they understand it is a genuine question and not just a greeting.

Whatever you do today, do one good thing for yourself, focus on that today and that will help others in return. Smile more, hashtag you deserve it 💙🫶💙

Wow! It's been a fantastic couple of days with Cadent Gas Limited and the awesome GBS Corporate Training training a new cohort of

As always we had quite a bit of fun, a lot of laughs and a lot of sharing of personal experience, which given 1 in 4 of us have a mental illness diagnosis, is pretty darn normal.

We busted myths, we talked, as we must do about ***de openly, clearly, and directly and built confidence as well as skills in spotting and signposting as well as how to have the conversations.

At the end, you can see, everyone really got it, how normal it is, that asking if someone is REALLY OK? is one of the best things we can do to help the people alongside us.

Thanks to the GBS team for continually arranging the sessions with Cadent and providing the awesome service they deserve. Also, thanks to Cadent Gas, for really investing in their staff with the training but also with the other support mechanisms they have in place recognising people are their most important asset.
Ironically, it was the asset investment team leadership being trained!

What a week, get moving everyone, make time to move this week, get that physical raised because it will raise the mental at the same time!

2024 will take place from 13 to 19 May, on the theme of “Movement: Moving more for our mental health”.

Movement is important for our mental health. But so many of us struggle to move enough. We know there are many different reasons for this, so this we want to help people to find moments for movement in their daily routines.
Going for a walk in your neighbourhood, putting on your favourite music and dancing around the living room, chair exercises when you’re watching television – it all counts!

Using the stairs instead of the lift, there are so many ways we can build movement into our routines but we need to mindfully make space to choose what we can and want to do.

If you get really stuck, then you can come swimming with me in New Brighton marine lake this coming Saturday at 8.30am and experience the benefits of movement, , with a group of friends. Of course you don't have to, you can do what you mindfully choose to do and then build it into a routine if you enjoy it. The offer for swimming is there though, don't say, I never ask you!

1 week to go, thinking time for you, how will you next week?

April is Stress Awareness Month, and we are supporting The Stress Management Society with their theme,

It’s important we create a society where everyone feels more confident to talk openly about the causes of stress and ways to manage it. Even the smallest positive actions can make a significant improvement to our overall wellbeing.

Take action to manage your stress well by learning some helpful coping strategies

Well, I did it, I wrote a book.

I have always wanted to but had so many internal barriers to actually achieving it.
I have been spurred on and motivated by the wonderful people and peers I surround myself with and have self written, through to self published so it's not perfect, but it is good and can help.

It's all about my specialist subject, and one of the key leadership skills.

How to become more resilient, manage stress, build awareness of good and bad stress, make it WORK FOR YOU!

Huge thanks to the inspiring people around me, all of you and do check out Margaret Bell Joel Jelen sniff sigh yawn Alison Blackler Richie Perera and Natalie Reeves Billing DL Paul Corke. Seeing and reading their books helped and indeed help me every day.
My dream, wish, hope is that my book can help someone as well, that is the reward I seek.
Share your knowledge, share your experience, normalise our conversations, talk MORE, listen MORE.

Most of all, look after yourselves 🫶🙌
