Wacky Waxes Ltd Fun, inspiring crayons! So how did I get the idea of making handmade crayons? I am a fully qualified primary school teacher with an Early Years specialism.

I have spent many years studying how children learn and how to make different areas of learning more interesting, accessible and more engaging to children, acknowledging that children all learn differently and on different levels. I would like to try and get more children interested and participating in mark making and using their fine motor skills from an early age. I have thought of ways to init

ially engage them by making crayons that are of personal interest to them and may be easier for small hands to hold than traditional crayons.

We will not be taking any more orders for Christmas but will still be taking any orders needed for after Christmas. Already got some January birthday presents booked in.

I was delighted to be asked to be a part of the pop up in Liverpool on 10th and 11th December. Due to being in work I can't attend but I'm sure they would love to see everyone there. They did a fantastic job at Hillbark last month and raised lots of money for Clatterbridge Cancer Centre (double interest for me). Wishing them another success next week. xx
