Wacky Waxes Ltd Fun, inspiring crayons! So how did I get the idea of making handmade crayons? I am a fully qualified primary school teacher with an Early Years specialism.

I have spent many years studying how children learn and how to make different areas of learning more interesting, accessible and more engaging to children, acknowledging that children all learn differently and on different levels. I would like to try and get more children interested and participating in mark making and using their fine motor skills from an early age. I have thought of ways to initially engage them by making crayons that are of personal interest to them and may be easier for small hands to hold than traditional crayons.
