Join Walsall & District Samaritans at Walsall Arboretum on Sunday 11 October, for the Dawn Walk and help make sure no one has to face their darkest hours alone.

🚶 Walk 5K as the sun rises, starting at 6.45am, to raise awareness of su***de prevention and help fund Samaritans’ lifesaving emotional support services.

💚 Life can be wonderful. Life can be tough. One in four of us has experienced suicidal thoughts, and every 10 seconds Samaritans answers a call for help.

Whether you’re walking in memory of someone, have used Samaritans’ services, or simply want to make a difference, everyone is welcome.

You may think that other health conditions are causing the symptoms. Or you may think they are just changes that are happening as you get older.

But if you have any new symptoms that do not go away, it is important to tell your GP. If your GP wants to find out more, they may arrange different tests or scans.

The Cancer Bus Tour is Coming Back to Walsall! 🚌

Did you know that early diagnosis can save lives? If you have questions about cancer, screening programmes, or how to reduce your risk, why not visit the Cancer Bus Tour when it stops in Walsall tomorrow?

📍 Beechdale Community Centre, Walsall, WS2 7DY
📅 Wednesday 23 September
🕤 9:30am to 3:00pm

The bus will provide:
✅ Information on cancer signs and symptoms
✅ Advice on when and where to seek help
✅ Information about breast, bowel and cervical screening
✅ Access to health information and support services
✅ An opportunity to speak with NHS staff and partner organisations

There will also be a special focus on Women’s Health, including menopause, diabetes, and cervical screening information.
Looking after your health is an important part of self care. Taking up screening invitations, knowing the signs and symptoms to look out for, and seeking advice early can make a real difference.

Everyone is welcome.
