While we’re all enjoying the sunshine this week, it’s important to remember the signs of heatstroke and what to do if someone becomes seriously unwell in the heat ☀️
Heatstroke is a medical emergency and can happen faster than people realise, especially during high temperatures like we’re having this week!
If someone is showing signs of heatstroke:
❄️ Move them to a cool place
💧 Give them water or a sports drink if they’re conscious and able to drink
🧊 Cool their skin by spraying or sponging them with cool water and fanning them.
📞 Call 999 immediately if symptoms are severe or worsening
Knowing what to look out for could help save a life. Stay safe in the heat this week 💙
