For the 7th year running, Aktrion Group sponsored the Apprentice Of The Year Award at FDF 2018. Congratulations to Sophie Paveling from Coca Cola European Partners GB Ltd! Sophie won the award for showing exceptional progress in both her skills development and studies and also made an exceptional contribution to the business through a one-off project. We were pleased to be able to present her with this Award!

On April 15th, some of the Aktrion Automotive Portugal team took part in the Tondela Half Marathon! For each entry into the event, Aktrion Automotive Portugal donated towards the volunteer Firefighters of Tondela and Campo de Besteiros, who have contributed so much to the well-being of locals, affected by the last fires of October 15 and 16, 2017. Great work!

We could go on forever, but we won't! Finalising our run of posts, we are extremely proud that Kieran Walsh from our North West Team has received a Certificate of Excellence! This is awarded as a result for being presented with a Quality First award from the Plant Manager of one of our Tier One Customers. This award serves as clear recognition to the whole of the team that hard work, dedication and diligence really does pay off! Well Done Kieran!

We have extended at Aktrion Group because there were too many amazing stories to fit in one week!

We pride ourselves on nurturing and developing our inspectors to the highest standards, regardless of what stage of their career they are at. Studying PMO, are two of our longest serving Inspectors (20 Years Collectively!)

Tanveer and Iain where keen to broaden their manufacturing knowledge when offered this opportunity within Aktrion Development, they seized it and are doing excellent! This was along with the help of Adam Anderson - Site Manager who has also recently completed and gained Six Sigma Green Belt Status!

Helping our employees to gain qualifications, is something we are very passionate about. Harpreet Singh and Kawsar Ahmed started working for Aktrion Automotive at BMW Hams Hall. After a short while their skill sets shone through and both were given the opportunity to go on a TIG welding course in Manchester, followed by an intensive course in Austria, to BMW standards!

Since completing the training, Harpreet progressed to become a very competent and respected Team Leader by his peers!

Kawsar has also completed a Business Improvement/Development course to not only improve his career outlook but that of Aktrion Automotive!

At Aktrion Automotive, we believe that our greatest assets are our people. To support the ongoing development of our team members we are undergoing an extensive training program this year. This includes Supervisor, Administration, Six Sigma Green Belt, None Destructive Testing and IOP!

At EMC, we have 46 employees enrolled onto these courses!

These programs are not just a one off, any new members who join Aktrion are signed into the training as a standard practice! This is a strategy that will take us into 2019 and beyond!
