Unfair Dismissal β Are You Prepared?
Under the Employment Rights Act 2025 (ERA 2025), protection against unfair dismissal will be reduced to six months for dismissals occurring on or after January 1, 2027. With this change approaching in twelve months, it is important to carefully review probation periods, ideally setting them at three months to allow flexibility for extension and adequate time for any necessary decisions regarding dismissal, including consideration of notice periods.
