When a customer sends an inspiration photo, it’s always exciting to imagine what the final result could be but the real magic happens in the journey from that first idea to the finished piece.

For this project, the piece of oak was hand-selected — every knot, every line, every natural marking appreciated for the character it brings. As the build evolved, so did the vision, and what started as a simple inspiration became something even better than the original plan. Client keen to keep original brickwork to tie in with features of the property, we think this gives the piece the character their home deserves.

We’ve just wrapped up a first-storey extension built over a garage we originally converted nine years ago, and it’s been a pleasure from start to finish. There’s something special about returning to a previous project and seeing how our work has stood the test of time — and even better when customers come back to us for the next stage of their home’s evolution.

This was a 10-week build, and every single person involved put in the effort to keep things running smoothly and to deliver the high-quality finish we’re known for. From the groundwork to the final touches, the whole team pulled their weight, communicated well, and kept standards high throughout.

A huge thank you to our returning clients for trusting us once again. It’s been great to help them take the next step in transforming their family home. Here’s to many more projects like this one!

We’re in the process of another patio using these beauties—and here’s why we love working with them:
• Super low maintenance – no sealing, no staining, just a quick jet wash now and then.
• Perfect lines – with a full mortar bed and primer on every slab, they’re laid to last.
• That clean finish – tight joints, crisp edges, and a smooth, modern vibe.
