Skyfly has closed a $10 million seed round led by HICO Investment Group, with participation from Archangel, to take the Axe from flying prototype to certified production aircraft.

The funding completes FAA light sport certification of the Axe under the new MOSAIC rules, scales production in the UK and US ahead of first customer deliveries in 2027, and accelerates the hybrid propulsion system behind Longbow, our unmanned aircraft for defence and government customers.

Summer 2026 has been a busy one for Skyfly.

From unveiling the production-spec Axe and progressing our route to certification under FAA MOSAIC, to expanding our presence in the U.S. and building new relationships in Florida, the past few months have marked significant progress across the programme.
