🚂 When you know EXACTLY how Train & Track Play works… 😂❤️

One of our lovely little regulars getting Freddie onto Cranky and putting him to work at the Superstation 🚂🏗️ — with Mum just as invested in the operation! 😂

He’s definitely a Train & Track Play pro now… apparently he even practises our end-of-session train whistle at home! 🚂📣🤣

These are the little moments I love — watching them work things out, remembering how everything works and coming back each time knowing exactly what they want to play with. ❤️

And we’ll be back in this very hall at Allenburys, Ware on Saturday 12th September! 🙌🚂

We can’t wait to see all our little train enthusiasts again.

Our big Saturday Train & Track Play days are back! 🎉 Save this post so you’ve got all our remaining dates for the year in one place.

We have SIX sessions throughout the day:

🚂 10:00–11:00
🚂 11:10–12:10
💙 12:20–1:20 SEN-friendly session
🚂 1:30–2:30
🚂 2:40–3:40
🚂 3:50–4:50

🎟️ £9 per child – one adult included

Come and spend an hour surrounded by HUGE pre-built train tracks, over 200 battery-powered trains, bridges, tunnels, roads, cars, Hot Wheels and lots more! 🚂🚗

We also have our Build-a-Track area, where budding little engineers can have a go at creating their own layouts. 🛤️💡

Whether you have a Thomas superfan, a car lover, a little engineer or simply a child who loves getting down on the floor and PLAYING – there’s so much to explore. 💙

And remember… we build it all and pack it all away, so you don’t have to! 😂🙌

🚂 Does your house ever look like THIS?! 😂🙈

This is an old home video of one of Morgan’s train setups when he was little…

Trains EVERYWHERE. 🚂
LEGO everywhere. 🧱
Cars, garages, farms, homemade tunnels… basically anything he could find became part of the railway!

And hardly a space left to walk through it all 😂

Looking back, this really was the beginning of Train & Track Play ❤️

So, if you have your own little train enthusiast at home who would happily take over every inch of the house… bring them to us and let them go wild with ours instead! 😂🚂

Loads of space. Huge tracks already built. Over 200 trains to choose from. Cars, roads, bridges, tunnels and plenty to explore…

All the fun — without having to clear it off your floor afterwards! 🙌😂

🚂 We’re back THIS TUESDAY at Hertford Scout Hut

And we’re trying our NEW 9:45am early session this term too — perfect for little ones after the school run or those who prefer an earlier start.

A slightly more honest summer post… ❤️

The second week of our break wasn’t quite the summer holiday I’d imagined.

I’ve worked my absolute socks off for the last 18 months, and since losing Mum I think I’ve just kept going. Train & Track, floristry, family, life… always something to organise, somewhere to be or something that needs doing.

And then I stopped.

I’ve always found downtime a little tricky, but this time I think everything I’d been carrying just caught up with me. I had a few really difficult days and realised maybe I wasn’t actually very good at doing nothing after all. 🙈❤️

But the week ended up giving me something I think I really needed.

I went down to Dorset and spent a couple of days with my sister. She’s been navigating her own enormous grief after losing her son, and we had the simplest few days together — sitting on the beach, chatting, watching a programme together, laughing, crying and just… being.

Nothing spectacular. No big plans. And actually, it was lovely. ❤️

I think sometimes when you run your own business you get so used to pushing on that you don’t realise how tired you are until you finally stop.

So I’m heading into September still missing summer, still not particularly excited about the darker evenings 😂, but feeling grateful for those few days and ready to get back to a job that I genuinely love. 🚂❤️

And maybe with a little reminder to myself that resting occasionally is allowed too. 🥰

Anyone else got the end-of-summer blues? 🥹☀️🍂

A little collection of some of our summer… some Train & Track adventures, some family days, and lots of little moments in between. 🚂❤️

I absolutely love summer and I’m never quite ready for it to end. There’s something about the kids going back to school, the evenings getting darker and the weather starting to change that makes reality suddenly hit again. 🙈

And I think each year it gets a little harder because it’s another summer gone and another reminder that my boys are growing up far too quickly. 🥺❤️

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE my job and I’m really looking forward to getting Train & Track Play back out again 🚂… but I’d quite happily keep the sunshine, slower mornings and summer adventures for a little bit longer!

BUT… I’m trying to remind myself there are some lovely bits coming too. 🍂❤️ Cosy nights in, blankets, candles, comfort food and Strictly Come Dancing back on the telly! 💃🕺😂 And of course, lots more Train & Track fun to come. 🚂

So maybe autumn isn’t all bad… 😂🍂
