Over the months I've been sharing my own experiences of Apprenticeships through doing a level 7 . I hope here to address the concern lots of people have about taking on an apprenticeship.......time !

Most of us have a home and family to manage as well as working full time . On top of that there can also be other responsibilities such as caring , or community commitments . The great thing with Apprenticeships is that flexibility is built in to help you manage.

I recently missed a whole , important training session due to an emergency at home . This straight away felt like a problem which would set me back . However , the session had been recorded and was sent to me to view in my own time along with all the presentation slides . This meant I could catch up at a time convenient to me and I could work it around my current , difficult, personal circumstances.

I contacted my coach and said that my assignment was likely to be late in . The response I got was, ' Lesley, don't worry, I've got you, I will also book your 121 in at a time when I can spend a bit longer with you and together we can make sure you are on track .

And I know she will ! . Its that kind of support and flexibility which means if you want to upskill , theres nothing to stop you . Communication is key . Make sure your coach knows of any issues ( its always confidential) and there are many solutions available to help you manage your time.

Ive now managed to watch the recording, (with the added bonus that I can rewatch any bits I need to hear again ) so I had better get on with completing the assignment. I want everything complete ready to start my strategic business project which is my next step .

Our Head of Operations, Scott, is taking part and gave us this update on his training:
"The last long runs are done, and the race numbers are through. Now it’s time to trust the training, ease back, and let the taper do its thing. Feeling proud, a little nervous, but mostly excited for what’s ahead at the TCS London Marathon. Even more incredible, the fundraising goal is nearly there! Thank you so much to everyone who has supported and donated so far. One final push to the start line… let’s do this!"

Scott will be running alongside Maisie from our sister attraction, Cheddar Gorge & Caves, to raise money for Tusk. Please join us in wishing them the best of luck! 🤞

I am writing to address the recent and unexpected shifts in the apprenticeship funding landscape. The decision regarding the defunding of Management apprenticeships has come as a significant shock to our team at MT+, just as I know it has to many of you who rely on these programmes to cultivate leadership talent.
While this change presents a challenge, I want to clarify our immediate position and our strategy for supporting your workforce development moving forward.
Reassurance for Current Learners
First and foremost, I want to provide peace of mind to our current management apprentices. All learners presently enrolled on these programmes are fully funded through to the end of their programme. Your learning journey, assessments, and ultimate certification remain our priority, and there will be no disruption to your ongoing training or support.
Immediate Opportunities: Team Leader Funding
We currently hold a limited remaining allocation of funding for the Level 3 Team Leader standard. Due to the updated funding guidelines, these starts must be processed and utilised by July.
If you have aspiring leads or supervisors ready to begin their journey, I encourage you to contact us immediately to secure these remaining spots before the window closes.
Evolving Our Delivery: New Specialized Pathways
