Just back from the most gorgeous week in sunny Skiathos… and WOW, I totally get why so many people return here again and again! 💙✨
🌟 Did you know? Skiathos has one of the shortest runways in Europe – and you can plane spot just a short walk from Skiathos Town! 📸✈️
🚌 Top Tip: Hop on the local bus (only around €3 each way!) and explore with ease – from Bus Stop 0 to 26, you’ll discover stunning beaches and hidden gems. Or go off-road with a jeep/quad and uncover over 60 beaches! 🌊
🏝️ Must-visit: Koukanaries Beach (Stop 26) – think golden sand, crystal-clear water, and total relaxation. Early season = peaceful paradise… peak summer = get there early! ☀️
🌿 Love a walk? Wander through the beautiful Mandraki Forest and choose from THREE incredible beaches along the way 🌳👣
🚤 Highlight of the trip: A pre-booked boat trip to Skopelos & Alonissos 🎶 Passing the Mamma Mia chapel (yes, there was singing and dancing 💃), a swim stop at Kastani Beach, and the perfect day at sea. Definitely pre-book – these trips are popular!
🍽️ Foodie moment: The Windmill Restaurant – breathtaking views over Skiathos Town and the port, delicious fine dining… and yes, worth every step up! 😍
🏨 Where I stayed: Troulos Bay Hotel – right on a sandy beach 🏖️ A friendly, welcoming B&B just minutes from shops and the bus stop. Clean, relaxed and a firm favourite for return visitors (I can see why!).
