Last Friday, the UK team headed to Golf Fang Liverpool for a well-earned culture day.

✔️ Karaoke (Jack’s Rock DJ lives rent-free in our heads)

It’s been a brilliant quarter, and this was a great reminder that strong teams aren’t just built in the office.

Our South African base is officially up and running! And the team over there is absolutely smashing it.

Big thanks to Dan and Scott for spending two weeks on the ground, setting up the stall and integrating the new people into the business (as if they needed pushing to get on that flight). They've just landed back in the UK, buzzing with momentum.

We’ve officially touched down and opened the doors to our brand-new recruitment office in SA!!!

Talk about a pipedream coming true! It's a huge milestone and after months of prep, some serious productivity this week on the ground (thanks Scott and Dan), this isn't just about expansion - we’re building something BIGGER!

When he joined Lignum 9 months ago, he was relatively new to recruitment.

But, what wasn't new was his eagerness to learn.

Since joining late in 2024, he’s gone from having very little knowledge of our industry, to placing highly technical talent across the US, Canada, and EMEA.

He’s handled senior candidate relationships. He’s built trust, fast. And he’s helped clients fill critical roles in some of the most competitive markets in construction and manufacturing.

Why’s he progressed so quickly?

Since 2021(when our last post was!), a lot has changed in the business.

👉We’ve welcomed new faces and seen a few familiar ones return.
👉And we’ve grown. Fast.

What started as a niche recruitment firm in the façades sector has evolved into a global partner for specialist construction and building product companies.

Today, we’re supporting clients across the UK, Europe, the US, Canada, and the Middle East, Helping them find the kind of leadership that builds businesses for the long term. We've kept our roots in Warrington, but also opened up a new office in South Africa.
