Q4 has a habit of arriving before the plan does, we all know it.

Then someone opens Ads Manager, chooses a budget that feels plausible and hopes the dashboard will explain itself later:

It rarely does, if Meta ads are part of your Q4 thinking, my course will help you make the important decisions before the money starts moving.

It is for founders and marketers who want to run campaigns themselves, as well as those who outsource to an agency or freelancer but still need to understand what is working, what is not and what the reports actually mean for the business.

You will learn how to assess whether your offer and lead journey are ready, set a sensible test budget and decide what to keep, fix, stop or scale.

The founding price is £295 until 31 August. The price rises on 1 September.

Ads Manager is perfectly happy to let you improvise. Your business may be less enthusiastic.

A good Meta ads course should teach you when not to spend.

I know that sounds like an odd way to sell a course:

It is also the reason I made it.

There is plenty of training that will show you where the buttons are, but this is for founders and marketing teams who need to understand the commercial decisions behind them.

Meta Ads That Make Commercial Sense helps you work through readiness, margins, budget boundaries, audiences, creative briefs, measurement and the rules for deciding whether to keep, fix, stop or scale a test.

You do not need to become an Ads Manager expert, although you will become that too!

You do need to know whether the investment case makes sense, and what evidence should justify the next pound.

Eight modules. The Meta Ads Decision Tool. Twelve months of access.

Founding price: £295 plus VAT until 1st Sept (normal price £495)

The people who love, live with or spend time with a founder often become the business’s unofficial board.

They hear the idea before it has been packaged up with a name; they live through the launches, the late replies and the dinners where your body is at the table but your mind is still rearranging a proposal.

They celebrate the wins, they absorb more of the uncertainty than we always notice; and occasionally, they remind us that a walk by the sea is not a reckless abandonment of our responsibilities.

This photograph was taken on holiday with my partner, who has shared far more of the emotional weather of running a business than any job description could reasonably cover fortunately he runs his own business too, so we are both guilty!

It has made me think about the peculiar bargain many founders make with themselves: that rest will begin when the work is finished.

The difficulty, of course, is that the work never clears its throat and politely announces that we have done enough, and I am not sure our minds do either.

Research into small-business owners and recovery is rather less romantic than hustle culture: Time away that gives us relaxation and a genuine sense of choice is associated with better wellbeing and lower burnout. That matters personally, but it matters commercially too; tired founders make narrower decisions. Overstretched founders become the bottleneck in businesses they built to create freedom.

If your business exists to improve other people’s lives, it should not require you to neglect your own; or the people sharing it with you.

So this Bank Holiday, I am not going to tell you to be more visible, post more often or squeeze a strategy session between lunch and the washing up.

I am going to suggest something more useful: be where your feet are.

The inbox will still be there tomorrow, the people beside us deserve more than whatever attention the business leaves behind.

What boundary helps you remain a person while you are building the business?

With warmth,

Mimi

September has a particular kind of energy: half fresh notebook, half mild panic about Q4.
Before you add another campaign, another platform or another “quick idea” to the plan, spend 15 minutes checking the places your buyers already look.
First, read your bio as though you have never met your business before: Is it immediately clear who you help, what you help them achieve and why they should trust you?
Next, look at your pinned content: Does it represent your strongest thinking and the work you want to sell now, or is it quietly advertising a version of the business you have already outgrown?
Finally, check your DMs: Interest has a temperature, and a thoughtful reply while it is still warm can begin a relationship; silence usually sends the buyer elsewhere.

None of this is especially glamorous, neither is discovering that the right client visited your profile and left because you made them work too hard to understand you.

These are not small housekeeping jobs: They shape whether interest becomes an enquiry.

This is the first Monthly Business Reset: one useful, manageable check-in to help you enter Q4 with a clearer message and fewer avoidable leaks in the buyer journey.

Save this for your September reset, or send it to the founder whose pinned posts are still promoting something from 2023. Then tell me: which of the three are you fixing first?

The most expensive Meta ads mistake often happens before the first ad is even built.

This does not happen in Ads Manager.

Not in the targeting.

Not even in the creative.

It happens when a business starts spending before the offer, margin, follow-up and decision rules are clear.

That is why I created the free Meta Ads Readiness Check.

It will show you what is ready, where the risk sits and what needs to be resolved before you put money behind the campaign.

Sometimes the answer is “go”.

Sometimes it is “not yet”.

Both are better than paying Meta to find the gaps for you.

Take the free check here:

If someone else signs off the budget, send this to them too.

Six months ago I left a Head of Marketing (4 days a week I still kept my lovely clients) role to build this.

Not because I was unhappy;
because I was underutilised.

Corporate taught me systems,
freelance taught me courage.

Both taught me that your work should match your ambition and impact.

If you are considering the leap, know this: the net appears after you jump.

The most useful question I hear recruiters ask about AI is not "Which tool should I use?"

It is: "How do I use it without making my work feel less human?"

The recruitment landscape has changed fundamentally over the last three years. Job boards are expensive. Competition is fierce. The pressure to do more with less time is constant.

So, naturally, our industry turned to AI for efficiency.

But efficiency without judgement is dangerous. Candidates can spot an automated, scraped-together outreach message from a mile away. When trust is the only real currency an independent recruiter has, risking it for the sake of speed is a false economy.

I have spent the last few months building something specific for independent recruiters and boutique agencies.

The Recruiter’s AI Playbook.

It is not a list of generic prompts. It is six practical workflows, carefully designed to keep your judgement at the centre. From formatting CVs with built-in factual verification, to monitoring hiring signals, to drafting outreach that actually earns a reply.

It is privacy-conscious. It is practical by design. It ensures that while the system does the heavy lifting, you remain the architect of the relationship.

It releases this week. There is a founding price of £49 for early access.

If you would like a copy before it goes to the wider market, comment PLAYBOOK below or send me a direct message.

There is a moment in every successful business where what got you here will not get you there.

You hit a plateau, the leads slow down, the marketing feels heavier, and yup the revenue stops climbing.

When this happens, the instinct is usually to do more: Post more, spend more on ads, buy a new tool: But you need to take a step back form the knee jerk reactions and look at the facts and your current offerings.

But the answer is rarely more volume, the answer is better architecture, and understanding the market, and what is actually working within your leads flow set up, and yes what is not.

You have to find where growth is getting stuck.
You have to fix what matters.
You have to use AI where it earns its place.

I run a 360 Growth Diagnostic for service-based businesses. We look at your commercial strategy, your marketing architecture, your AI implementation, your tone of voice, and your visual identity.

We find the exact bottleneck that is costing you money, and we build the system to fix it.

If your business feels harder to run today than it did a year ago, send me a message. I would love to help you find the leak.

When did you last have your business visibility tested?
Because the chart has changed rather dramatically since you last looked.
SEO — Google finds you
AEO — AI answers with you
AIO — Machines understand you
GEO — AI generates about you
EEAT — Everyone decides you are worth finding
LLM — The right name comes up
TRUST — The only metric that was ever real
Most businesses can read the top line. Fewer can read the bottom one.
The optician is not testing whether you can see the letters. They are testing whether the world is coming through clearly.
Every line is asking the same question.
