Warwick isn't just a town that hosts a fair — for generations, it was also part of the story behind the rides. 🎠
🎡 A Warwick tradition nearly 700 years in the making! 🎠

The rides are arriving, the stalls are taking shape, and Warwick Town Centre is getting ready to welcome back the historic Warwick Mop Fair!
Dating back to a charter granted by King Edward III in the 14th century, the Mop began as a hiring fair where local workers would gather to find employment. Nearly seven centuries later, it has evolved into the fairground we know today, bringing generations of families, friends and visitors into the heart of our town.
🎢 One of the things that makes Warwick Mop so special is the connection between the town and the showmen, with many families returning to the same pitches for generations. Their grandparents and great-grandparents entertained ours!
We know the Mop divides opinion, and we appreciate that not everyone looks forward to the disruption it brings. But for many, the sights, sounds and excitement of the fair arriving are a reminder of childhood memories and a tradition that has been passed down through generations.
Few towns can say they’ve kept a tradition alive for almost 700 years, and Warwick is one of them!
