223 DAYS TO GO! 🏃‍♀️💫

Well… that was an eventful Sunday run! 😂

🐝 Bloody wasp stung me on the neck AND the leg!
It throbs like a sharp needle… honestly, they are EVIL! 😩😂

Made that last mile pretty annoying, but I FINISHED IT! 💪

Sunday run ✅
Getting fitter ✅
Staying disciplined ✅
Not letting a wasp stop me ✅😂

Every mile is getting me closer to that London Marathon finish line — and I’m determined to raise LOADS of money for Make-A-Wish UK 💙⭐️

A jigsaw, a lovely lunch and most importantly… time together. 🧩💗

For someone living with dementia, simple activities such as jigsaws can provide gentle brain stimulation, encourage concentration and support memory, while companionship brings conversation, laughter and connection.

At Unique Care, we support people to keep doing the things they enjoy and help families share those precious everyday moments together.

🏃‍♀️ 261 DAYS TO GO! ⭐️

Another day closer to the London Marathon 2027! 😱💪

At 59, I’ve set myself one BIG challenge to take on 26.2 miles and raise as much as I possibly can for Make-A-Wish UK 💙⭐️

I’m sharing the whole journey the training, the stiff legs 😂, the good days, the tough days and everything in between.

Every run has a purpose. Every mile gets me closer. ❤️

✨ Dreams. Celebrations. Memories. ✨

At Unique Care, we don’t just provide care.

We make dreams come true and create moments that matter.

One of our clients was living with cancer. His greatest joy was walking through the fields with his beloved dog, but he needed to stop and rest and there were no benches along the route.

So we made it happen🎉👏💕

We arranged for a bench to be installed on his favourite walk, allowing him to continue enjoying the countryside and precious moments with his dog.

Whether it’s celebrating a birthday, attending a special event, revisiting a treasured place, or helping someone achieve a simple wish, we believe every moment counts.

A bench.
A celebration.
A memory.

If only care providers like us were trusted to do more…

We support our clients with companionship, rehabilitation, getting out into the community, and building confidence after hospital stays.

But we’re often asked:
“Can you help with personal care?”
“Can you manage medication?”

And the answer is… not without being regulated.

We do work alongside wonderful regulated care providers who cover this while we focus on everything else that truly makes a difference day to day

But the reality is, care can end up feeling fragmented.

If trusted providers could do more safely, imagine how much smoother things could be:
• Faster hospital discharges
• Less pressure on families
• More consistent, relationship-led care

Surely care should be about people, not limitations.

What do moments like this mean in care? Plenty of smiles for Kimmy social lunch, a little fun at the wishing well and a beautiful moment learning that her coin could help raise money for guide dogs. She was so happy and so curious. Because in care, the little moments are often the BIGGEST ONES 😀🐾🐶
