It's been a while since I have remembered to post anything. Been so busy that this keeps slipping my mind. It's funny how the restoration business moves on as people age. We started out working on "vintage" pre-war cars because that was what people needed restoring. Now those owners are aging and no longer drive them and the younger folk don't want to drive them (they aren't all that easy to master) and so lately our focus has been on "classic" cars.
This "E-Type" Jaguar was originally LHD and had to be converted for use in the UK. It was in a pretty "interesting" state when it arrived. A lot worse than the owner had anticipated, but when she left us, she was beautiful...

Yesterday Jeff got to do his best impression of Santa Claus when he sent this beauty back to her owner. An amazing Christmas present and we know he is very happy with her….

In 2018 we sent this beauty back to her home….and recently her owner decided that he wanted her to have a cloth wrapped body as it was probably how she was originally made….so you can see in the top pictures how she used to look, and in the bottom ones how she looks now.
Her owner is mighty pleased with the transformation and is looking forward to getting her out on the road next month….

One of the most interesting looking cars we have had in the workshop. We took this to the Restoration show 18 months ago and it was compared to both Brum & Chitty, Chitty Bang Bang. It even won a prize for the owner. Will certainly be keeping an eye on this restoration...can't wait to see what she looks like when she's done.

This beauty came in for a bit of a tidy up. She was starting to look her age and of course no lady really likes that…so a bit of a facelift for her and now she is back home with her owner, a regular customer. And what a perfect place for her photo shoot too!

From midnight we enter Tier 4 of what was originally a 3 tier system. Luckily for us we are fairly isolated here so we can continue to work BUT we cannot see our customers whilst we are in this tier. Please understand that although we love the impromptu visits, we can’t take risks due to family circumstances....stay safe, stay home and we’ll see you on the other side...🚫
