Our carers of the month this month are Mandy and Shanara..Mandy showed great empathy and support during the heat wave and drove up to a client at 8pm in the evening on her day off to deliver her a spare fan so she could sleep better, and Shanara showed great initiative and care when a client with dementia had gone wandering (again on her day off)..well done ladies you are a credit to the team 🌻🥰x

This week at YAMS dementia club we celebrated ‘Pride’ month by doing an experiment with skittles, how pretty does that look. We also made decorative chains, completed a quiz and had lots of laughter and chatter (along with tea and cake).

YAMS mobility and community care hub will be opening 1st July at 1b/1c Saxon court, Cheddar (where the old pet shop used to be). We have been busy painting recently and starting to get it ready. We will be holding guest speaker sessions such as Somerset sight, dementia friends, health coaches and so on so do keep your eyes peeled for dates. Exciting times 🌻
