General packing, hand finishing and associated tasks. Experience in the print industry is advantageous, must be physically fit and able to lift up to 12kg. Temporary position with a view to permanent employment for the right candidate. Job hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

We have had an extraordinarily positive reaction from several local businesses and one anonymous benefactor following our appeal for boxes for our food parcels and are incredibly grateful to the local community. We would like to thank the following exceptional people and businesses:

AJ Supplies LTD– not only paid for the purchase of a huge quantity of boxes but have also kindly offered to deliver them to our 3 hub kitchens across Dorset
Ford Farm – kindly supplied a significant number of large boxes for family sized parcels
Acanthus Press – sourced boxes for purchase and donated a large number of boxes as well
Anonymous Benefactor – kindly donated £150 to purchase a large quantity of boxes
Game Fayre and Mystic Signs Ltd – donation of boxes
Charminster Parish Magazine – donation of boxes

We have just produced this unusual book for the French market. The cover is aluminium foiled on black stock and has had the cut-outs done by laser.
The cover then sits over a red tip-in sheet and then PUR bound with the text pages.

The effects are striking and the finished product oozes quality.

Acanthus Press is a well established litho and digital print company in Wellington, Somerset currently looking for an experienced pre-press operator.

Checking supplied artworks and dealing with any technical problems.
Setting up files for production.
Data handling and sorting.
Fully conversant with Adobe CC and Excel.
Familiar with Heidelberg Prinect pre-press software, (or similar) and impositions.
Willingness to learn new skills including the running of digital presses.
