Last week, our final primary school tree-planting project of the year brought us to Ventrus Woodwater Academy in Exeter. Stephen Gabell and Amy Nash engaged two classrooms with our educational program on cardboard sustainability. The students took home trees to plant directly in the ground using cardboard boxes, highlighting the renewable and eco-friendly properties of our products. This also served as an early natural Christmas gift, fostering environmental awareness.
This year, approximately 205 trees have been planted in gardens, pots, and school grounds, thanks to visits to eight classrooms across five schools in Wellington, Bristol, Lydeard St Lawrence, Weston-super-Mare, and Exeter. During these visits, students learned about trees, the environment, cardboard manufacturing, and recycling. We’re excited to continue this program in the new year, with a school in Dorset already lined up!
