🚧 From Belt Failure to Full Recovery 🚧

When a customer reported a snapped elevator belt, our team quickly mobilised to assess the situation and develop a recovery plan.

Working alongside a crane crew, we safely recovered the failed belt, which was subsequently deemed too damaged for reuse. The following week, we returned to site with a new belt and completed a re-lag of the damaged head pulley.

To minimise downtime, all buckets were fitted to the new belt before installation. The entire assembly was then lifted into place in a single lift using a large crane with a fly jib — a complex operation that showcased the planning, precision, and teamwork of everyone involved.

Another great result delivered safely and efficiently by our field service team. đź’Ş

It’s been another big week for our Geraldton team 💪

A crew of eight were mobilised to site to complete a CV12 change-out, while a second crew of three headed to Marchagee to tackle a ground conveyor and dog stacker.

The ground conveyor was completed smoothly and without incident — a strong result and a testament to the team’s planning and ex*****on. The recent addition of our 12T truck also proved its value, allowing us to transport belts and equipment efficiently and keep the job moving.

The dog stacker presented challenges onsite, but the team adapted quickly, completing the install alongside a bucket belt change-out and head drum re-lag.

It never stops — but that’s where our team thrives! Another great example of teamwork, adaptability, and delivering results, even when things don’t go to plan 🔧

Our Geraldton team recently completed works on a train unloader feeder, installing a 2000mm-wide ST2650 steel cord belt (21x7 covers) three levels underground - a complex job that required careful planning, coordination, and ex*****on in a challenging environment.

In addition, the crew installed a 1350mm-wide PN1000/4 belt (10x4 covers), consisting of two 300m rolls. These works were carried out alongside other contractors completing a counterweight change-out and pulley alignments, making collaboration and communication critical to keeping everything on track.

Jobs like this highlight the strength of our team — delivering high-quality outcomes while working seamlessly with others on site to minimise disruption and keep operations moving.

Great effort by everyone involved đź’Ş

We recently received a call on short notice for a breakdown in the Goldfields, where a ST1000 steel cord belt had failed, bringing the plant to a complete standstill.

Receiving the call on a Saturday, we mobilised a crew the same day, worked through the weekend, and had the operation back up and running by Monday afternoon.

While the job was originally commissioned to another contractor, we were brought in to provide additional support — something we’re always happy to do. We pride ourselves on working alongside others, stepping in when needed, and getting the job done safely and efficiently.

Great effort by everyone involved 👏

Tight Access - Flawless Ex*****on!

This belt changeout was relatively straightforward in scope, involving a 1200mm-wide, 6x2, 4-ply fabric belt. But limited site access made it a real challenge for our on-site crew.

A significant amount of equipment had to be carefully lifted and lowered into position, with sections of the shed roof removed to allow access to the conveyor.

Challenges like this are where our team thrives. Through smart planning, strong teamwork and efficient ex*****on, the crew delivered a seamless result — keeping the job safe, on schedule and running smoothly. An outstanding effort all round 👏

Check out this recently installed scraper for one of our Perth-based customers 👇

The client had been experiencing ongoing cleaning issues due to the previous setup not being installed at the correct angles. It’s a great reminder of how critical proper installation is from the outset — ensuring efficient operation and maximising equipment life.

Our mechanical team stepped in to rectify the issue, reworking the mounting holes for the scraper pole to achieve the correct alignment and optimal performance. A solid result and a much-improved outcome for the customer 👏

Big effort from our Perth crew last week 👏

We successfully completed a major shutdown involving a 500m insert on a 1400mm ST1000 steel cord belt — delivered safely, efficiently, and right on schedule. The job required two crews of four working around the clock to get it done, with a seamless handover between shifts to keep things moving.

Despite some challenges on site, the team adapted quickly and worked through them professionally and efficiently, delivering a high-quality result with no delays to the client. Most importantly, we finished with a very happy customer — another strong outcome by the team 💪
