Our Kalgoorlie team has recently wrapped up a 10-belt project in the Mid-West, delivering two weeks of work to support the operation.

The project involved a range of conveyor belts, from 1500mm wide belts with 8/3 covers, 100m lengths and crow’s foot weave, through to 1000mm wide belts with 5/1.5 covers, 50m lengths and PN150 construction.

With the team travelling approximately 1,600km round trip to complete the job, it was a great effort from the boys to get the project across the line. 👏

A big shout-out to our Kalgoorlie crew for their hard work, commitment and willingness to go the extra mile to get the job done!

Last week, our HSE Manager was in Geraldton delivering Hazardous Manual Tasks training to our team.

At All Rubber, health and safety is always a top priority — and this is just one example of our ongoing commitment to keeping our people safe and building capability across the business.

Investing in our people means building capability at every level, from the fundamentals through to the complex work we do every day.

Hazardous Manual Tasks can be easy to overlook, but they can still present significant risks and have the potential to cause injuries if not properly managed.

Through regular training, practical education and ongoing engagement from our HSE team, we’re helping our people recognise hazards, understand the risks and work safely — both on the floor and in the field.

Safety isn’t a one-off conversation. It’s something we continue to reinforce every day. 💪

🔧 1300m of Belt Prepped and Ready for Installation!

Our Perth team recently headed down to the South West to complete a 1,300m flake job on a conveyor belt, which was added to a 500m insert previously completed on the system.

Flaking is an important part of preparing a belt for installation and can help reduce downtime during shutdowns by allowing more of the work to be completed off-site and ahead of time.

The team wrapped up the flaking work last week, with the belt now ready for installation in the upcoming shutdown.

Another great example of our teams working ahead to help keep projects on schedule and minimise disruption to operations. 💪

Straight Into Action In Kalgoorlie! 🚨

Our new Kalgoorlie team has wasted no time getting to work, recently responding to a breakdown involving a 32m long, 1200mm wide CV07 feeder belt. The 1200mm 4PN150 6/2 belt required a single splice, with four of our team members mobilised to site.

Meanwhile, our Geraldton branch was already committed to a scheduled shutdown and needed some extra manpower. The Kalgoorlie team stepped in on the second day, working seamlessly with the existing crew to ensure the work was completed.

It was a challenging job, with the belt having snapped on the underside of the conveyor while the chute was still full of product. The team also had to contend with difficult weather conditions and an unexpected extra night on site after the gravel road was closed.

Despite the challenges, the team got the job done — and the site was extremely happy with our fast response time and ability to have a crew on site quickly.

A great start for our Kalgoorlie branch and a great example of the local support we’re now able to provide across the Goldfields. 👏

The signs are up and the crew has hit the ground running, already responding to breakdowns, lining trommels and backing up our Geraldton team on a recent site job.

When the Heat Was On, All Rubber Bunbury Delivered 💪

When a local plant faced critical downtime and other suppliers couldn't meet the deadline, they turned to our Bunbury branch for assistance.

Our team mobilised quickly to blast, prime and rubber line critical chutes, helping get the plant safely back into operation. As the project evolved, so did the scope, with the team also delivering:

✔️ Custom fabrication, including rubber-backed ceramic lining and rubber wear plates
✔️ Rapid sourcing of high-performance alternative materials to overcome supply delays
✔️ Flexible, collaborative project delivery as requirements changed

Despite the tight timeframes and constant changes, the project was completed safely, with zero incidents, and to the high-quality standard our clients expect.

Our team is officially on the move, with two trucks packed to the brim with equipment and everything needed to establish our newest branch in Kalgoorlie.

Planning, teamwork, and technical expertise came together on one of the most unique splicing projects we've undertaken recently.

Our Bunbury & Perth teams completed what is believed to be the world's only steel cord filter belt splice of its kind.

Used in the dewatering process to separate water from sand and other materials, the belt itself is unique. The splice was even more specialised, requiring a complex layup due to its segmented steel cord construction.

This achievement was the result of more than 12 months of collaboration with our client. With limited information available from the belt manufacturer and previous challenges surrounding splice kits, we knew thorough preparation would be essential.

Before mobilising to site, our team developed a detailed Safe Work Instruction (SWI) and completed a full test splice to validate the procedure. This ensured the installation could be carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

The onsite project brought together crews of up to eight experienced technicians over the course of a week. Through careful planning, technical expertise, and close collaboration with our client and site personnel, the splice was completed safely and successfully.

A special thank you to Troy Mildwaters, our Bunbury Service Manager, for leading the project and ensuring everything ran smoothly from planning through to completion. Outstanding work by everyone involved.
