Straight Into Action In Kalgoorlie! 🚨

Our new Kalgoorlie team has wasted no time getting to work, recently responding to a breakdown involving a 32m long, 1200mm wide CV07 feeder belt. The 1200mm 4PN150 6/2 belt required a single splice, with four of our team members mobilised to site.

Meanwhile, our Geraldton branch was already committed to a scheduled shutdown and needed some extra manpower. The Kalgoorlie team stepped in on the second day, working seamlessly with the existing crew to ensure the work was completed.

It was a challenging job, with the belt having snapped on the underside of the conveyor while the chute was still full of product. The team also had to contend with difficult weather conditions and an unexpected extra night on site after the gravel road was closed.

Despite the challenges, the team got the job done — and the site was extremely happy with our fast response time and ability to have a crew on site quickly.

A great start for our Kalgoorlie branch and a great example of the local support we’re now able to provide across the Goldfields. 👏

When the Heat Was On, All Rubber Bunbury Delivered 💪

When a local plant faced critical downtime and other suppliers couldn't meet the deadline, they turned to our Bunbury branch for assistance.

Our team mobilised quickly to blast, prime and rubber line critical chutes, helping get the plant safely back into operation. As the project evolved, so did the scope, with the team also delivering:

✔️ Custom fabrication, including rubber-backed ceramic lining and rubber wear plates
✔️ Rapid sourcing of high-performance alternative materials to overcome supply delays
✔️ Flexible, collaborative project delivery as requirements changed

Despite the tight timeframes and constant changes, the project was completed safely, with zero incidents, and to the high-quality standard our clients expect.

Planning, teamwork, and technical expertise came together on one of the most unique splicing projects we've undertaken recently.

Our Bunbury & Perth teams completed what is believed to be the world's only steel cord filter belt splice of its kind.

Used in the dewatering process to separate water from sand and other materials, the belt itself is unique. The splice was even more specialised, requiring a complex layup due to its segmented steel cord construction.

This achievement was the result of more than 12 months of collaboration with our client. With limited information available from the belt manufacturer and previous challenges surrounding splice kits, we knew thorough preparation would be essential.

Before mobilising to site, our team developed a detailed Safe Work Instruction (SWI) and completed a full test splice to validate the procedure. This ensured the installation could be carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

The onsite project brought together crews of up to eight experienced technicians over the course of a week. Through careful planning, technical expertise, and close collaboration with our client and site personnel, the splice was completed safely and successfully.

A special thank you to Troy Mildwaters, our Bunbury Service Manager, for leading the project and ensuring everything ran smoothly from planning through to completion. Outstanding work by everyone involved.

👏 Another successful project delivered by our Perth team in the Pilbara.

Working across day and night shifts, the crew completed three specialist steel cord belt splices as part of a major conveyor expansion project in the North West.

The scope involved cutting and separating the existing conveyor belt to allow the installation of a new transfer station by the engineering contractor, before expertly rejoining the belt and returning it to service.

Steel cord splicing demands precision, experience and strict adherence to quality standards, making it a critical component of the project's success. Through safe ex*****on, technical expertise and seamless coordination with multiple contractors onsite, the team helped keep the expansion project on track.

A fantastic effort by everyone involved and another example of our capability to deliver complex conveyor solutions across Western Australia.

🚧 From Belt Failure to Full Recovery 🚧

When a customer reported a snapped elevator belt, our team quickly mobilised to assess the situation and develop a recovery plan.

Working alongside a crane crew, we safely recovered the failed belt, which was subsequently deemed too damaged for reuse. The following week, we returned to site with a new belt and completed a re-lag of the damaged head pulley.

To minimise downtime, all buckets were fitted to the new belt before installation. The entire assembly was then lifted into place in a single lift using a large crane with a fly jib — a complex operation that showcased the planning, precision, and teamwork of everyone involved.

Another great result delivered safely and efficiently by our field service team. 💪
