🪱Tips to help you catch more on the Maggot Feeder🪱

In the winter months a maggot feeder can out fish a method style feeder and allow you to target far more species. Here are 4 tips that we think will help you put more fish in your net

1) You don’t have to fill the feeder. The Matrix Maggot Feeders come in a variety of sizes and weights, you should always pick the feeder you need based on the distance you need to cast as casting longer distances or fishing in bad wind will require a bigger feeder. Just because you have a big feeder though doesn’t mean you have to fill it up. You can still half or quarter fill a bigger feeder to feed smaller amounts in winter

2) Hooklength length can be varied to the species you’re targeting, carp and F1’s can be caught on shorter 10-15cm hooklengths while roach and chub respond better to a 30-45cm hooklength

3) Adding a small amount of groundbait into the feeder along with the maggots can help to create an inviting cloud in the swim

4) Timing your casts can help you regulate the amount of bait in your swim, the more regular you cast the more bait goes into the swim so on hard days 5-10 minute casts could be required
