🚛 We’re Expanding...

Do you hold a current Forklift, Loading shovel or 360 licence, have previous yard experience or have experience working within the recycling industry?

If so, come and join our expanding waste and recycling team at Parry & Evans, Deeside.

Overview of the role:
As a Yard Operative / General Operative you will be responsible for tasks including; the loading and unloading of containers and curtain siders, recycling sorting, conducting machine checks, using plant machinery such as a Fork Lift, Loading shovel or 360, liaising with the Weighbridge team, ensuring good site housekeeping and general yard duties.

Hours:
40 + the opportunity for overtime (Weekdays and weekends)
Rotating weekly shift pattern:
Week 1 - Mon - Fri 6am - 2pm
Week 2 - Mon - Fri 2pm - 10pm

Salary: £13.39 per hour with a £10 shift allowance.
Enhanced rates for weekend work.

What we’ll need from you:
You must
🚜 hold a current licence for a Forklift truck and/or other plant machinery such as Loading shovel, 360 etc .
🗑️ have previous experience in using an FLT or other plant machinery in a workplace environment.
👷 have awareness and understanding of Health & safety procedures on an industrial site.
♻️ Ideally have experience working in the recycling industry.
🏗️ Have yard experience

As a family-run recycling business, our drivers play a key role in keeping operations moving safely and efficiently across the region. You’ll be driving a range of waste and recycling vehicles including artic, skip, hook lift and curtain sider HGVs while completing planned collection routes.

📍 Locations: Deeside�🕒 Hours: 50+ hours over 5 days�💷 Pay: £15.35 per hour + overtime available

This year marks 15 years of Gary being part of the team at Parry & Evans!

Gary’s journey is a great example of growth and dedication, starting out as an FLT driver, moving onto loading shovels and 360 machinery, then gaining his Class 2 licence. From there, he stepped up as Warehouse Supervisor and now plays a key role as our Transport Manager.

His progression reflects the hard work, commitment, and experience he brings to the business every day.
