Welcome June!☀️ Summer is approaching fast. I sooo need a vacation.🌴
How I would enjoy strolling in the woods, visiting a cosy seaside village or relaxing on a beach, listening to the sound of the waves on the pebbles… 🌊
Where do you plan to go on holiday? Have you booked or do you flip the coin and go wherever your heart takes you?

Do you post like mad but see no engagement? 🔥

There’s a chance your content is not what your audience is looking for.
Have a look at this list and check if you are guilty of these common mistakes on your social channels.
Improve where needed and you will start to reap the results. 👍

1️⃣ BEING TOO SALESY
Your goal should be to entertain or help your audience.
They won’t follow you if you are pitching your services repeatedly. It’s ok to do that but with a pinch of salt…

2️⃣ WORKING WITHOUT A STRATEGY OR A GOAL
Posting every day is great but you undermine all your efforts if you don't have a valid strategy and a plan. Think of the content as the flesh and strategy as the bones: you can’t have content without a structure. It will simply fall down to pieces.

3️⃣ ASSUMING YOUR AUDIENCE IS EVERYONE
Hard as it is you need to find a niche. You can’t talk to anyone nor offer your services or sell your products to everybody. If you don’t target a specific audience your message will be weak and useless. So find a niche, sketch your ideal customers/clients and talk to them. Be specific!

4️⃣ BUYING FOLLOWERS
That’s a no! Definitely! Its’ like cheating and, besides, it’s useless since these fake followers won’t interact, they won’t engage nor comment and they won’t ever become clients. So what’s the point?

5️⃣ CHOOSING THE WRONG TONE
The tone of voice is crucial and it depends both on your brand and on your client niche. It could be serious or funny or intimate… Whatever works for you. Just remember to adapt it to brand and niche and then keep it consistent.

6️⃣ TREATING ALL SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS THE SAME
Each platform has its unique features and to make the best use of them you need to know their strength and to exploit them. So better not to use the exact same content and strategy on each platform.

7️⃣ FAILING TO ENGAGE IN CONVERSATIONS
The name is not just media but Social media because sociality and engagement are crucial in these platforms. So engage with your followers, answer their questions, ask questions, find posts related to your audience and brand and engage in conversations. It’s not only useful, it’s also fun.

8️⃣ MAKING IT ALL ABOUT YOU
An easy mistake but remember: your brand is not for you, it’s for your clients. So what’s the point of speaking only about yourself? It’s good your audience gets to know you but your posts should speak to them, answer their questions, give a solution, help them with their struggle.

9️⃣ BEING INAUTHENTIC OR COLD
A balance is paramount in your social channels: as per point 8 you should speak to your audience and help them but you need to do that by being you. That means you have to find your style, your tone and they should be you. Be authentic, speak from your heart and your audience will feel it.

🔟 USING IRRELEVANT HASHTAGS
Hashtags are very useful to increase your followers and be found by your potential clients. If you use them right, they can really help your channels. So spend some time and research the best hashtags for your brand and services and remember to update them every now and then to keep them effective.

These past weeks have been hard…

🌳And I have been neglecting myself for too long. But enough is enough! Today I decided I needed to switch everything off and just get out and enjoy the sun and nature.

🌳I took a walk in the woods with my family and came back totally recharged.

🌳It’s amazing how being in the woods gives all my energy back and let me see things from a new perspective. Everything seems easier when you are centered and recharged.

🌳And do you take your time to relax and recharge? Which is your favourite method? Or place? Let me know in the comment.

Do you know why some captions are good and some are not?
It’s not a content matter (well, not only). It’s the hook!

💫What’s a hook?
It’s just the first sentence of a caption, but it's also the most important one. Make it right and people will go on reading. Make it wrong, or – worst – boring and nobody will read your very good and informative piece.
Basically it’s like a good title for a book. How many good books (or films) do you know which have been ruined by a bad title? Or whose fortune has been made by the right choice of words?
Another Very important feature of the hook is its shortness: the longer it is the bigger the risk is it will be cut short in the middle, losing its poignancy.

So think it carefully. And remember: keep it short!

Do you know the 4 PILLARS OF CONTENT MARKETING?

Writing great content is not enough if you don’t make it shine creating the best customer experience and using the right distribution. How do I know? Insights.

That’s why you must get all four pillars of content marketing right to make the most of your posts.

So, which are the 4 pillars? 🏛

1️⃣ CREATION
Creation means thinking, researching, writing, choosing the right image and creating the right design for your content. It also mean choosing the right format (video, infographics, post, carousel, blog…)

2️⃣ EXPERIENCE
Experience is how people experience the actual content.
In order to enjoy the experience the content must:
👉 Be easily discoverable by your customers (through SEO and advertising it or publishing it in the right places)
👉 Be in the right format
👉 Have a Call To Action
👉 Create engagement

3️⃣ DISTRIBUTION
Distribution is getting the content around. You can do this through:
👉 owned channels (publishing it on your site and social channels)
👉 paid means (e.g. ads)
👉 newsletter and email

4️⃣ INSIGHTS
Insights tell you if the content you wrote, how you distributed it and the experience you created works. By analysing data and reports you can tweak one or more of the other pillars to have a content marketing that rocks.

If 2020 (and 2021) taught me something is that the way of life I have always known is not the only one, it’s just the one I got used to.
2020 has shown me there are different ways, has spurred me to think outside of the box, has urged me to try and soar again by literally inventing a different path, a scary one. But there is no evolution in the old ways so the only mean we have to improve is getting out of our comfort zone and trying something scary, and exciting at the same time.

Do you feel the same? Have you been derailed too in 2020/2021 only to grit your teeth, work hard and rise again?

Which is the best? It all depends on your needs. If you want something easy to create and you are no pro, Canva is perfect. If you want something unique, very creative, maybe also vectorial and scalable Adobe CC is the one to go to.
There is no right answer here: choose the best one for your needs.
